In the main, yes.

But overall it's less of a shit-hole than large parts of England.

Ngl, I think we ought to aim higher than England. That's not a tough competition.

Seriously?

Yes.

Before you take that the wrong way it doesn't mean it applies to all the people who live there, it means it applies to all of those that are prejudiced against Catholics.

Any uptick in cases will be mainly related to house parties anyway and hardly anybody is going to be daft enough to say they were at a house party.

"From today, vaccination centres are being told to close unfilled bookings from 29 March onwards - and to ensure no further appointments are scheduled for the whole of April."

A whole fucking month of nothing if this is accurate.

Out of interest, what are your thoughts on Catholic Police Officers?

My reading of it is they will honour those scheduled and have the stocks and supplies to get the priority list done. The reason they aren't scheduling any one new is that they'll need to start the second doses in the big numbers from late January and February around that time.

Did notice that Hancock used the word “offered” vaccines to complete the priority groups.

So you were merely observing that people who hate Catholics on the basis that they're Catholics, hold despicable views?

Ok.  Specialist subject: the bleedin' obvious.

So they want the UK to export more vaccines to them, despite them being the AZ ones that they don't even fucking want?

Loads going to waste currently apparently but I’d suspect they want to send AZ from Britain to EU countries that are happy to use them so they can use Pfizer where they don’t want AZ.

They’re in a real mess by the looks of it and von der Leyen looks out of her depth.

No, I mean they hold other despicable views, which is literally the words I used. Racism, misogyny, homophobia, that kind of thing.

Funnily enough, despite going to Catholic schools, I don't know any Catholics that joined the police.

I know a few from the School I went to, good guys at School & beyond. My rather obvious point is that if you are going to be prejudiced to others then best not criticise others for doing so as that is pretty hypocritical, two wrongs and all that.

As an employee you're allowed reasonable time off to deal with an emergency involving dependents.

The other side of this being your knob of a boss doesn't have to pay you for the time off as the time off can be paid or unpaid.

He actually apologised to me today

There is some pretty interesting data on the NRS website.

They had a spreadsheet which gives weekly all cause deaths going back to 1974. I stuck the data into the chart below.

Its interesting to see how seasonal mortality is and also eye opening to see how the peaks of the pandemic last Spring and this winter compare with previous years.

Has anyone recently got a PCR test in Glasgow?

I need one before travelling to Sweden next week for work. Just wondering how quick the turnaround was for the result.

What you do for work in Sweden out of interest?

I heard of someone refused on his flight do to a test mix up , he took his test outwith 24 hours , thought it had to be 72.  He was travelling Ryanair to Denmark and onto Sweden. So id check that.
