Half time and another 45 minutes of typical Scotland under Steve Clark.
Pedestrian, unimaginative, no shots on target. Same old same old, dull as dishwater.
Slovakia don’t look that arsed either tbf. This will likely fade out to another 0-0, not even a penalty shoot out to look forward to tonight.

It is ditch, ditchwater.

Maybe in chez Lex you may be correct but for the rest of us it is ditchwater.

Also, no goals against is a good start.

But we do need to learn how to do it effectively. Waiting till we're in Serbia is not the place...

Wonder if that was the team talk before the Israel game. Let’s shitfest our way to a 0-0 and beat them on penalties, will be good practice for the away playoff final...

That comes next.  He's right at the start of building a team. First you stop conceding goals, the rest of the team will start to function better the more we play it, right now we need to get the defence sorted. It looks like he has and that gives us a chance in any game we play straight away.

Israel had one good chance in 120 minutes, Slovakia have had none in 45.  This is good, what we are watching is excellent progress.

We are playing at HOME though , albeit without a crowd !

and we seem to be incapable of effective counter attacks !

Chuckle. Seriously though it's pretty evident that the emphasis was put on not gifting Israel chances.Levein, shite spouter that he usually is, for once put it nicely by describing what we're watching now as "our base camp". Not pretty and not our end goal, but the first and most fundamental step.

The justification of playing McTominay at the back pisses me off...Imagine if he played in midfield....where he naturally has excelled in his career. Create, chances, goals. Nope, let’s play shitey shitebag football.

And what, play two centre halves? Clarke specifically doesn't want that, he wants a three. So do you drop McTominay and play someone like Porteous?

Playing McTominay there isn't a daft choice.
