That comes next.  He's right at the start of building a team. First you stop conceding goals, the rest of the team will start to function better the more we play it, right now we need to get the defence sorted. It looks like he has and that gives us a chance in any game we play straight away.
Israel had one good chance in 120 minutes, Slovakia have had none in 45.  This is good, what we are watching is excellent progress.

There’s a time and place to be shitfesting, no doubt. Away to Serbia will be one of them.
Shitfesting at home to 93rd in the world Israel and at home to a second string Slovakia though....

Enjoyable first half imo.

FFS 28 times in the first half. He also keeps saying Grey Goose is playing for Slovakia.

Higher or lower second half?

They maybe say the score a lot on the radio because you can’t see it. People might be joining it all the time, like getting into your car, and not listening to the whole game, so it is good to hear the score not long after you switch on.

I’ll go for higher, Brucie.

Our last shot on target was Christie's goal against Czech Republic, which was in the 52nd minute. We are now over 200 minutes without a shot on target.

Clarke's clearly determined to persist with it, and as we managed looked competent for all of five minutes here before reverting to being terrible it's been our least bad performance with a back three so far, but we look a poorer team in every respect than we did when battling past Cyprus and Kazakhstan in a 4-5-1. Those weren't good performances either aside from 45 minutes v Kazakhstan, but there was a sense then of slow progress, players adapting to the system and gradually building something which is totally absent from this shitshow.

But we do need to learn how to do it effectively. Waiting till we're in Serbia is not the place...

Is it a must win?

Why has there been so little interest in it?

Why is it being used to give players game time?

It’s definitely not a must win, but it is most certainly is a “it would be fantastic to win it and stride forward in the group before the two away games next month” kind of game. We’ve played better than Thursday, had one decent chance when Dykes delayed a second too long to get his shot away, and if Ryan Fraser could be persuaded not to keep turning back when in great forward positions that would help.

I agree with this, which is no surprise because I think we actually generally see football the same way. The players know their roles and even if we aren't creating loads of chances, the "no shots on target" chat is being over-egged a bit given some of the clear chances missed across those three games since Christie's goal.

Every game is a must win when you play for Celtic or Rangers.
