Derry O'Driscoll
All part of the plan. Run down the stadium to such an extent to fit with the 19th century narrative that Nelms likes to push, in order to justify ground sharing at Perth next season. Worrying times. I Clavdivs
Unless you have a hydrid pitch it’s very difficult for heavy periods of rain to drain away effectively .

Looks something structural indeed. Was this the area that caused the Pars game to be postponed too?
Boo Khaki
They need to elevate the Provost Road end of the pitch by about 30 feet so all the water just runs into Tannadice

Definitely a pipe. It's running in a straight line across the pitch. Usually water gathers in the far corner when our games get postponed for water or freezing.

Dundee had a game called off during the week because of rain, they’ve had 3 days to treat and cover the pitch. A nonsense !!!! It would appear you may wrong to blame the rain if it turns out to be a burst pipe that has caused that part of the pitch to flood.

invergowrie arab
East Craigie and Tayport have got their games on. Maybe you can groundshare with them next year.

Boo Khaki
It's a bit ridiculous that in this day and age 'waterlogged' is the excuse when there is plenty of equipment available that can lift water off a grass surface without damaging it in any way, rather than just spiking the bejeesus out of the pitch and crossing your fingers that the whole lot drains away. Ok, for the number of times it's likely to see use they'd probably argue the cost isn't worth the investment, but FFS it's Scotland, it's no as if rain is some sort of weird anomaly that only happens once in a lifetime.

K.T
Is there nothing that could have been done to protect the pitch from Tuesday to today other than spiking it and getting a leaf blower out on match day?
