It's tier 6 level in Scotland.

Most other leagues even at tiers below have to get on with it.

Aye it's a guid idea to send a team on a 160 mile round trip midweek.

If only there was another option, oh wait there is, plenty of teams closer to Sanquhar than Newton, but we'll just ignore that fact.

Have a wee look at the West midweek fixtures, at least the bloke tries to keep it as local as possible for the teams.

Quite a few people did look at the West fixtures in their forum and made the same complaints about travelling midweek.

Where did St Cuthbert's title-winning squad decamp to? Mind-boggling that they might just be bested by W&B this season, when there was probably 200 goal difference between them a couple of years ago. But that's what makes football at any level interesting.

Manager that put it together left for Dalbeattie Star after winning the title. A lot of them went with him to Dalbeattie (not that it did them any good in the Lowland) and otherwise scattered.

I was a bit like you on this,maybe years ago e.g ww to Kinnoull there would be a case but not now. 

Scottish non league fitba has become more professional the past few years.

Perhaps this would work in a professional league in between transfer windows (presume it would need to be the same squad), but in grassroots football where stag dos and every-other-Saturday shifts affect your availability it’s perhaps less cut and dry

In pretty much every country it also applies to grassroots football. Newly signed players who weren't eligible for the original date of the game won't be eligible for the resumption either and both teams have to stick to the original selection when possible.
