I think he’ll change half the team.

In might come Angus MacDonald, Richard Jensen, Jimmy McGarry, Jamie McGrath & Ester Sokler

Difficult to tell to be honest.

He has said he’ll rotate the squad after European games.

Barry Robson has a couple of options. The team that finished last night's match is a lot nearer our strongest side than the one that started. So he could start with the same starting eleven, looking to bring in the others, McGrath, McDonald, McGarry and Jensen, for Thursday. Or he could start with close to the side that finished the game to get them up to speed. No idea what he'll do.

I saw a decent bit of the game last night. I like the look of this Aberdeen side. They've got some really good players going forward. Both Hibs and Dundee had spells against us when they caused us a few problems so I'd expect Aberdeen's forward line to be very dangerous. Motherwell caused us no real problems, which I'd like to put down to our defence improving but probably as much (more) to do with them being pretty toothless.

Aberdeen look to have a lot more grit under Robson than they had under Goodwin or Glass. I feel some of our wins over Aberdeen the last couple of seasons, we have bullied them. I don't see this happening this year.

We're a decent side though and good at home. Tough one to call.

4-0 Saints

It’s going to be a really tough game on Sunday, looking forward to seeing how we do against this Dons team who look like they have a stronger squad than last season.

Id imagine they will be confident after coming away with a great result away in Europe.

Hopefully we keep our run of good home form going, as I think we’re a match for anyone in this league at our place.

Aberdeen and Hearts are comfortably the 3rd and 4th best sides in the country by some distance.

That doesn't mean we should be going in to games against them with any worry. We went toe to toe with both sides last year in matches against each other and I expect no different this season either.

A win on Sunday, even a point, would be a massive result for us in keeping momentum. Hopefully Aberdeen have their eye off the ball a bit - the monetary gains between Europa League group football and Conference League group football is significant so hopefully they have next Thursday in mind.

Getting an away scoring draw with a Swedish team whose name begins with H usually ends up in disaster later though...

We all need to dream big at times.

Isn’t that what all supporters do ? If it wasn't for hope there would be little point in going to watch your team. 😀

2 wins apiece last season with 3 of the 4 fixtures played at Pittodrie.

To be fair, Aberdeen are one of the best teams in the league and will finish 3rd or 4th. Getting 8 points clear early on gives us a much better chance of being in amongst them and Hearts at the end of the season.

I feel the result at Häcken is probably the best we could have hoped for. If they had lost they'd be desperate to show something here. If they had won they'd be going into this with confidence. However, a draw leaves it up in the air and with luck they'll have one mind on that game rather than this one.

What's more, from what we saw, Aberdeen look "easily got at", whether we do or whether Robson realises this and changes things around, who knows... but neither defence looked all that capable last night.

As for score, I think this will be either 2-1 or 3-1, and I am still undecided on who will come out the winner. We definitely could, not saying we will though.

Fun fact: Pittodrie is the only ground I have been escorted out of.

Pittodrie is the coldest ground I’ve ever been in. Back in the day, we were 2-0 up, and lost 4-2. Must have been the early 1980s. The walk back to the bus, across that open expanse of land between Pittodrie and the sea was even colder. Just a completely shite day really. Cold, miserable and gubbed. 😄

Looks to be heading for a sell out.

Our recent games against each other has produced red cards/penalties/goals and a bit of drama.

I think Sunday will be another one of those games. Especially as now we are taking the game to teams from the first whistle and really going for it in the first 45 minutes, we'll leave space for Aberdeen to exploit.

Ideally you'd want Gogic in midfield to combat Shinnie but Bolton looks nowhere near ready for a start yet.

I remember that well. We were going for the league and you were 2.0 up after about 5 minutes. Pretty sure King Joey got a hat trick. These were the days.

I think it was the mid to late seventies.

Going to be a tough game against last seasons Champions League winners, hopefully we can see the likes of Jensen and Sokler get a run out.

Whichever team doesn’t get a man sent off to win. In all honesty, my main hope is that we don’t come away with any injuries…

Gayfield, similar in position to Pittodrie with it being right on the North Sea coast, so the wind can howl through, but at least Pittodrie is big enough to provide some shelter.

I remember it too, just looked it up, second last game of 77/78, you missed out on the title by 2 points to Rangers, Harper did indeed score a hat trick. It was our first season up.

Think you lot were runners up in all 3 comps with Rangers winning the treble

I was at the Scottish Cup final not long after where you lost 2-1 to Rangers (I was in the Aberdeen end), the game where Peter McCloy swung from the crossbar

Neither venue even close in the freezing stakes for me....Gretna and/or East Fife away in the cups were the two coldest I remember with an honourable mention to the Falkirk game at Fir Park

I should have said Pittodrie is the coldest Scottish ground I’ve been in. The overall honour goes to Mile High Stadium in Denver for a game against the Patriots in December, in what transpired to be the Broncos Super Bowl 50 winning season. Still, we beat them in OT and Brady ran off in a huff without even shaking an opponent’s hand. The GOAT? My arse. 😜

😂

Robinson is known for his fast flowing, counter attacking football where the ball is kept on the deck with rarely a pass wasted. We should be worried.
