Thought the ref was a bit wide as MacDonald wasn't going to take the goal kick right away during the 18th minute but the referee was whistling telling him to hurry up.

Yeah, but that was just in keeping with the rest of his performance. Noticed players and staff from both teams were happy to join the applause when the ball was out of play - again, particular credit to Morton players/staff for that. They were never planning to stop the game for the whole minute, but there was clearly no harm in MacDonald taking his time to let players show a bit of respect.

All the Morton supporters around me were applauding as well. We had a similar event for one of our long-term supporters passed. Most of the other team's fans were joining in. Always good to see.

Yeah, things like this bring football fans together and it’s great to see. Obviously tragic circumstances and we all wish the young lad was still with us, but I know the vast majority of Pars fans would also join in if it was the other way round. Credit where credit’s due nonetheless and thanks to you and other Morton fans for joining in the applause.

The potential for how good this team could be if we had a fit squad it ridiculous, like that first half you would have no idea we had so many starters missing.

Trying to keep calm and focus on survival first and foremost.

Agree that the ref could have easily stopped play for the minute’s applause since it was a goal kick anyway. Not a big deal but would have been a nice gesture IMO.

Mostly a very good performance from the Pars today, albeit we should have put the game to bed much earlier. McCann and Jakubiak missed glaring chances for 3-0 and we allowed Morton to come back into it.

Credit to the side for constantly getting blocks on the Morton shots, putting their bodies on the line for the cause. I’ve said it many times but these players give it everything.

Wee Summers is a good player and enjoyed Moffat’s cameo off the bench too. MOH is transformed at RWB though; was great to see him slot home the clincher.

11 points from six games is a very positive start and we’d be joint top right now if we’d held on for the win at Tannadice. Perhaps more crucially for now, we’re building a comfortable gap between ourselves and the bottom two. More of the same please!

Morton looked atrocious in the opening half hour but they did improve. Not sure if it was a tactical switch or we took our foot off the pedal but it was a much more even game in the second half.

Felt the Morton goal was easily preventable from our point of view.

Other than that good win, nice to share to goals across the team and Chalmers in the first half was absolutely joyous.

Wouldn't be a game at East End against them without that!

Hopefully another yellow will get that carthorse Broadfoot suspended. We’ve been utterly woeful. Embarrassingly bad.

To me, it looked like Broadfoot was injured, or does he always walk like that? Looked very heavy on his feet.

Really enjoyed that game.  When Morton woke up in the second half they caused us some issues, but overall we deserved to win that game by 2 goals at least.  If McCanns long range strike goes in, that’s a contender for goal of the season, some hit.  If he can stay fit then he will be some player for us this season.

As @101 says, when we get everyone back fit, it’s frightening to think how good we could be.

French stretchered off? :(

Looked to be in a lot of pain. He put a challenge in on McCann when he went up for a header and ended up with McCann landing on him. Seemed to be an ankle/Achilles injury. He tried to get up, but couldn’t put any weight on that leg, which isn’t a good sign.

Hopefully nothing serious. But it certainly didn’t look good.

Don't know if Pars supporters know this - but Tyler French has just arrived at Cappielow on loan from Dundee. Poor lad suffered a horrific injury (badly broken leg) and has come to us to get match-fit again before (presumably) heading back to Dees in January. Let's hope it's nothing serious.

Yikes, bad luck for the lad. Hope he's OK.

That’s a real shame. Sounds like really rotten luck. I seriously hope it’s nothing major, but it really didn’t look good. Whatever it is, I certainly hope he makes a full recovery and gets back playing.

That's a shame. Knew it was bad when he let out a yelp and smacked the ground.

Thought we lost our way a bit with the changes - Moffat and Summers were individually good in that spell but they were occupying the same spaces and I'm not sure that shape with Jakubiak up top was working. Otoo had a couple of brain fart moments and Fisher, who was superb in the first half, was possibly feeling the effects of his hand injury as those who shouldn't have been too affected by the changes in the forward areas. Morton were quite physical but not to the extent that the Dundee Utd fans were moaning about. When it's like that then the likes of Hamilton and McCann can get stuck in anyway and it doesn't bother us.
