Overrated/Underrated food.

Recommended Posts

Bread over rated. When I lived on my own I didnt own a toaster and people were baffled I never bought a loaf of bread. Sometines when I have a burger in a pub I dispense with the bun. Tastes of f**k all and has no nutritional value.

Underated are pork chops(none of my mates like them), brocoli, haggis and carrots.

This is probably the worst post of the thread so far.

What does it matter what your mates think?

You've mis-spelled broccoli badly, and you really need to to find that apostrophe button on your keyboard.

Supermarkets killed off so many traditional independent fishmongers, butchers, dairies and bakeries. Boo!😡

Supermarkets only reacted to changes in society better.

Women joining the workforce in increasing numbers meant traditional business hours were inconvenient.

People inceasingly using their own cars meant that parking provision was important.

Supermarkets moved out of town to build car parks and opened late.

Really, it's all the fault of feminists and Henry Ford.

Apologies, had a few pints. I assume I will regret the whole post in the morning.

Aye, the tofu you get in a Chinese restaurant too is often just slimy curd. Dreadful.

When it's fried so it's crispy it's even better than meat I think. The tofu at Dr Noodles is outstanding. Crispy, spongy and soaks up the sauce beautifully. Fantastic stuff.

I want to like Tofu.  The wife and son both like it but I just can't stand it.  Not just the texture but the actual taste is a no for me so even fried I can't take to it.

Stick to your guns. Bread can be great, but unless it's freshly made it absolutely belongs in the overrated category.

The cinnamon and raisin ones are a delight when cut in half, toasted and buttered.

I can see that being alright, but I'd rather just a pain aux raisins / cinnamon tbh

Spicy drinks - severely underrated.

If you're talking cardamom lassi then yes.

Just please don't say fiery Irn Bru.

Enough time has passed so the shock value had worn off.

Can we address this ice cream on a roll thing. What the fucking fück is that all about?

Welcome to Thailand, they fucking love it.

To you and me it's just wrong.  Have a go, it's underrated.

This reminds me of how many times I have been tragically derailed on holiday food wise.

Went to Naples and didn't buy a pizza.

Went to Sicily and didn't try their ice cream in a bun thing.

I'll probably fail to have a sausage and pilsner in Germany in June.

Bagels are shit. People need to accept this truth into their lives.

Is this based on those hard things you get in cellophane packs at the supermarket, or actual bagels from bakeries/delis? There’s a big difference.
