Raith Morton: let's be having you!

Recommended Posts

Bit of a nothing came although wasn't really bored at any point. Good point to take home with us and unbeaten run helps. Shame results haven't gone in our favour but we can only worry about ourselves.

Thought we defended excellently yet again. We are just so well organised as a unit these days.

Horrible to watch - but a fair result overall with a game dominated by two effective back-fours, with everything else just cancelling everything else out.

Props again to the RaithTV stream. Good camerawork, knowledgeable and unbiased commentary, hardly any buffering. An object lesson to other clubs in how it should be done - especially us.

A bit of a chance missed to put a wee bit more pressure on the team at the top but with only one shot on target in the whole game then take the draw and on to the next game.

Another goal for Airdrie at the death 😄

Connelly was very lucky to not see a second yellow for grabbing the ball on the ground when it was our foul but that would have been too much excitement.

Agreed. Power should have probably seen red for deliberately standing on Vaughan right in front of the ref also.

Shite game and the only entertainment was the number of fouls.

Probably a decent result for both sides, only damper is that Goodwin will likely get emptied tonight.

We never really got going. Morton really good at closing down the space in midfield - particularly the first and third quarters of the game. Got hard working forwards as well. You can see why they maybe struggled a bit before Strapp came back. He does offer such a singular talent with that throw in. Turns any throw in over the halfway line into a half decent chance in the box, or at the very least into good territory.

Murray's line up didn't work. Connolly had one or two good moments but was mostly outdone physically as Rovers tried to pick up loose second balls in midfield. Smith did nothing of note and hasn't now since the Thistle game. Wpuld love to have seen Hamilton and Rudden together as by that point we'd resorted to trying the ball over the top anyway.

Credit to the back 4 for keeping a rare clean sheet though.

Agree too many changes up front tonight. I see why he did it he wanted the pace of Smith and height of Hamilton who I thought did a reasonable consodering he had f**k all to work with. As well as another game on Friday.

Look it's a mid week game in February despite the effort you will get shite games in a season.

We just didn't break Morton down, they had 2 players on Easton.

I don't think our midfield created enough either.
