Shandon Par
BBC says.. The decision (to have white fire engines) in fact was based on a scientific study that showed that people find white and yellow the easiest colours to see at high speeds - and red and grey the hardest to make out.
MEADOWXI
Probably cheaper than red ones. Or possibly the camouflage angle as suggested above. They were cheaper, Remember reading at the time that the basic engine is supplied as white and it was extra to have them painted red Saving money was not the motive behind the white engines, but they do work out cheaper. When a vehicle arrived from Sweden in the past it had to be sprayed Day-Glo red. And if minor damage was done to the bodywork entire panels had to be re-sprayed, which will not be the case with standard white. http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/12264799.Grampian_apos_s_white_knights_take_to_the_road/ And as a bonus for up here as they are white they look like big metal Sheep

Miguel Sanchez
Had the misfortune this morning of going swimming whilst half of the pool was taken up by an over 60s water aerobics keep fit class. Saggy tits flying all over the place. Only saving grace is that the instructor was a total wid.Underwater Putt Putt. BBC says.. Hedgecutter
Being delighted you've caught a bus which will get you somewhere just on time, only for it to pull over for a while because it's evidently running early. More so when the 'later' buses fire past. Pretty sure these drivers bomb it up the road for a length just so they can earn a quick fag break btw.

Mortar Bored
Do you think its funny that I have to live in fear behind curtains in case i see the ghost faced lady across the way who sticks her fingers up at me for looking at her? Im home alone this weekend as well to make matters more terrifying. Empty paint tins & string, along with icy pavements & marbles are your friends this weekend.

Zen Archer (Raconteur)
Even with the awkwardness of doing it blatantly I still only have an I phone camera so would need to zoom in and have the patio doors open to get a decent enough picture considering the distance she is from our sitting room. I'm going to leave my phone pointing up towards her window with my doors open and then play the waiting game at the other window and sneak through and try get a decent enough shot of her at the weekend. If you stand there in the buff, she might lean forward, this might give you time to help you focus.

Zen Archer (Raconteur)
There are children who stay in the vicinity. I'm not asking you to do it when they're going to school. Anyway, isn't the auld bitch up to her tricks when it's past their bed time?
Zen Archer (Raconteur)
No - she goes to bed (or shuts her blinds) between 1930-2000. She stands creepily at the window for a good minute before closing her blinds which are the only blinds I have ever seen close up the way. One time she closed them as far up as her chin but continued to look out in a very ghost like manner. Do you consume a lot of E numbers?
