Breathtakingly dishonest. Lord Kerr: "The Scots have to leave the EU with the UK – if the UK leaves – then go independent," said Kerr. "Once they’ve been recognised all round as independent they can then knock on the front door marked 'accession'. "That’s the bad news, but the good news is that it would be a very swift accession negotiation. The sort of rubbish people talk about – back of the queue, behind the Turks – that’s all balls because there is no queue. "People who are declared eligible to join can join as soon as they’re ready to accept the whole of the acquis. Since the Scots would, presumably ... still be applying something very close to the existing acquis, they'd be in very fast." The acquis – also known as the acquis communautaire – is the complex set of legislation, legal acts, and European court decisions that have accumulated in EU law since the inception of the union." So, who to believe - Lord Kerr, who helped to draft article 50, or "Bishop Briggs" from the internet. It's a tough choice, for sure.7 points

Since when did they become the rentaquote faces regarding Clyde FC? Fucking desperate stuff. Have they asked John Ruddy about the signing being an NLC agenda yet?5 points

If that wrinkly auld cow Budge has any sense left she'd punt the entire management structure now and get Alex Neil in to start the rebuilding job.5 points

In a good example of what we may call 'Daily Record logic', a feature piece is devoted to arguing Junior attendances are putting lower-league SPFL crowds "in the shade". Examples are cited from Pollok and a recent international weekend top-of-the-table clash at St Rochs. Admirable as the 2 statistics are, the problem is that Pollok are the only club who average more than any in SPFL, while St Rochs is comparing a huge outlier (it grabbed people's attention due to being so unusual) with averages. Nevertheless out intrepid columnist ventures further and calls the bold assertion that "some Junior clubs have a following to at least compete with Clyde, Berwick, Stranraer and all". Unfortunately those 3 clubs averaged about 600, 450, and 500 last season again putting them well above all bar Pollok... Not to rest here our bold journo then asserts the signing of Ryan Stevenson will be sure to send crowds rising at Troon. Why stop there though. Next we get some quotes from an ex West Junior official who asserts that the problem within SPFL football is a 1-horse race (the West Juniors are currently led by Auchinleck going for their 5th straight title), and too many meaningless games (cursory examination of the tables showing barely a single SPFL club with nothing to play for in the last month). We close with further discussions of how good Junior crowds are and what SPFL clubs might learn from them. I see the idea behind it, but contextually it's almost a work of fiction: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/loony-joons-bumper-crowds-put-101348715 points

If you think the SNP are Marxist Leninist you're crazy. They're not even socialist. To continue your analogy, Clyde if we were a political party would be the SSP. Small in numbers but ripping itself apart from the inside. Slowly disappearing from a much higher position. The SSP had their sex scandal too and didn't own their own stadium.4 points

Even if it means no Scottish independence, ever? You are in the minority of your movement, you are not going to win over enough converts in the SNP to make leaving both Unions the primary outcome in one go. You do have enough heft to lose us another indy ref by taking the cream puff over Europe. Your best bet of arranging the situation to your liking is to leave the UK now while there is a pro indy majority and a causus belli for activating a referendum, and worry about Europe later, when post Indy you and what becomes of the Tories can make common cause. Grabbing at leaving the EU now at the cost of Scottish independence leaves the major road block to Scottish decision making in place. The member states can have a referendum anytime they like, and present an article 50 letter - indeed they don't have to have a referendum, the government of the day just has to decide it's leaving. It's much, much harder for Scotland to leave the UK, as might be expected from the difference between a federal trading block and a unitary political state. Scotland must elect a pro Indy majority, must rely on the good graces of the UK to accept a referendum, and then win it against overt UK politicking on a scale that that EU never pursued in the Brexit referendum. Then the Uk has to accept a result it might not like.3 points

I can answer this one. John Nelms has recently applied for Full Citizenship of the People's Republic of Dundee. He's just waiting on Rab Douglas to headbutt his Stamp of Approval, then any confusion/duplications will be removed. Thank you.3 points

Would be great if he just stayed with Aberdeen. It would be great if he won the Scottish and then lead Aberdeen to the Europa League group stages. I think that's as far as he could go, this current Celtic team will dominate for the next few seasons.3 points

Yup, that is our fans all over. Team flying, scoring goals for fun, entertaining wins. And our fans don't respond at all. What more can the club do? Fans want a winning team on the park and they have it, they've done cheaper tickets recently at games, made themed games, tried to move fans around the ground (rejected by the RDS Lower settled community) to improve matchdays. Nothing works. Nothing. The other big problem is the novelty of only two OF home games has gone. Four home games against them per season just is not that novel or exciting. Third issue is Man United are on on Sunday and the EPL fan boys can't miss that.3 points

I'm certainly in the 'Fed Up' camp but it's almost for the entirely opposite reason stated here. I don't expect or want action every single week as I'm a massive fan of character development. One of my most enjoyable episodes of the show was the one that probably got the most slating: the one where it was Beth and Daryl for a whole episode. It opened Daryl's character up and we got to see he was a softer person than he really portrayed, My problem is that when it's a talking episode it's dull as shit because the characters are just boring. They aren't being developed any further IMO and most of the time they are complaining or moping about: Carol/Sasha/Rosita/Maggie/Lassie with the big jugs and even Michonne this season. It just makes me wish they get wiped out. Maggie and Sasha spent most of the season crying or tending a gravesite FFS. I actually thought the finale was pretty 'meh'. I think that was because the show is completely predictable (and they let us know Negan would be here for another season). Did anyone GENUINELY think Michonne had fallen from the balcony? At no point did I. And similarly at no point did I think Coral was getting wiped out. The freaks turning on them was obvious from the very first meeting tbh. Someone has completely nailed it in an earlier post and I think it's literally the reason I'm bored with the show. To begin with they were trying to find a cure or a sanctuary with the cure. Now they are just trying to live. That's what's boring me and makes me think I'll only be satisfied with an ending consisting of a cure being found and an explanation of how it started. Can't see it happening though. Out of interest, did anyone think Abraham sounded totally different? And on two separate occasions it was said "you're already dead". I sincerely hope those weren't easter eggs. If the ending is something along those lines I think I'd lose the plot2 points

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-role-barry-ferguson-would-10086904 Arrived at Clyde when the club had just reached a play-off spot in League Two; left Clyde fighting relegation to the Lowland League. Not sure what Barry's views are on being 41st best out of 42 clubs in the national league setup, or being absolutely owned in managerial terms by Jim Duffy. None of these facts were brought up though by the gormless DR reporter; funny that. As demonstrated by the stunning set of results he managed to achieve with one of the largest budgets in the division. Good to see the laughable bullshit claims normally reserved for a "promising youth coach" get a fresh airing in this context though. 1) Didn't do them any good though; as Barry Ferguson is an utterly shit coach and manager. Oh and one of the reasons why Ferguson managed to recruit said players was because external backers were paying wages that Clyde couldn't actually afford. 2) What calibre of player, specifically, would look to a failed Blackburn Rovers haddy as an inspirational reason to sign? Substitute "staunch", "good Proddy" and "Catholic" here to work out what Bob 'FTP' Malcom is really trying to say.2 points
