Was in Grangemouth on Monday, and noticed a road called "ice house brae". How did such a name come about??

There used to be a 'big hoose' Kerse House nearby, it wasn't uncommon for the toffs to have icehouses.

There is an icehouse in Dalgety Bay in the park behind Tesco, it used to be part of the Donibristle estate.

In the days before fridges and freezers, ice would be cut from a frozen river or loch and stored in an ice house or ice store.  Typically this was used by the fishing industry to keep fish fresh.

I thought Pop Tarts were an American thing.

The American ones are phenomenal. A huge amount of flavours. You can get them here in those USA Candy shops but they're about £7 a pack. The ones you get in Asda etc, about 3 flavours and are a bit shit in comparison.
