Michael W
Think we may be out of genuine inductees at that point. By that time we'll be enrolling Armand One, Damien Dunleavy and Raymond Allan. Those of us who didn't get tickets this year can set up our own event: The Raith Rovers Hall of Infamy. We can induct the likes of Ray Allan and Jack Perry, and have a good laugh about things now that the pain has (mostly) gone.

Great idea.Adam Smith theatre full of folk pishing themselves laughing at footage of Mark Humphries continually kicking the ball out of play while the man himself comes clean about playing in his baffies.

kirkcaldybanjo111
Surely we're now low on legitimate hall of famers to be inducted? It's going to get to the stage where in a couple of years we'll be inducting Roary. Yup its going to end up ridiculous.how many legends are out there. One player who is a legend was also captain of Scotland but was so long ago so wouldnt be a good story so probably wont get in it.
Father Barrys Sign (Top Half)
Looking for a bit of guidance if possible from all the Kirkcaldy pub experts. We were looking to make a bit of a day of it for the match against Rovers on Boxing Day and head over early. Looking to find out what time generally would the pubs open on Boxing Day? Preference would probably be the Abbey Hotel. Just thought I'd ask here for a general overview before thinking about phoning a few of them. Cheers in advance.

We were there before the 3 0 game earlier in the season. Hadnt been for at least 7 or 8 years before that but seemed perfectly ok with not much changed (if anything)

Hadnt been for at least 7 or 8 years before that but seemed perfectly ok with not much changed (if anything) I used to be a semi-regular in the place a few years back, was pretty decent. Last time I was in was last year right enough so maybe better now, and yeah not much had changed about the place - decked out more now with Rovers shirts and the like from Shaun Dennis' playing days but it was pretty much overrun with jakey c***s when I was in and had started selling clingfilm wrapped sandwiches at the bar - I've always thought that was a pretty good warning sign about a pub, it says: We don't really expect our cleintele to have eaten before rolling out of bed into the pub, or to leave the pub to eat, and we'd desperately like them to not turn too incoherent or violent before 3pm. It was just our busload and maybe half a dozen Rovers fans there when we were in last time.

Not sure what time the pubs open on Boxing Day but plenty better watering holes for a few pre-match sherbets than The Abbey. If you're coming by train or bus just start at the top end of the high street and work your way along to the San Starko. Plenty pubs on route. If you're feeling brave try The Estuary on Links Street (it's on the way to Starks). In saying that I've never been in that pub but just assume with it being on Links Street that it's a bit of a riot

A few crazy characters who were just fairly harmless jakeys- but pub was generally ok. Cant go wrong with the Penny then Novar tbh. Sound- basically not too fussed (an Alloa boy after all) so if they serve beer and open at 11 on Boxing Day- Im there.

Few of them do scran as well and I think The Exchequer shows football on the TV but for won't let you in if you're wearing football colours. Maybe try and get in touch with Big Q on here as well, he'll let you know if Fife Finest (one of our supporters groups) still drink in Styx if you're wanting some banter with a few Rovers fans. Think they did, or possibly still do, run shuttle busses to the game.
Beachbum
The Abbey is no more - closed sometime last week.
Scary Bear
The Abbey is no more - closed sometime last week.Must be about time to turn it into flats. It's not working as a pub/hotel and it's in a nice enough area just off the High Street. As for pub recommendations: Brodies (was the Royal Scot) at the far end of the High Street - well, actually past the High Street - is good. Free pool table too. The Wheatsheaf looks like it's finally seen a lick of paint. Not sure what the inside is like. Betty Nicols - thought is was fairly pricey last time I was in. It was under new ownership according to bar staff. Nice surroundings, though. Cafe Continental - food is nice enough. HIT THE CHANNEL
The Novar is the best pub by an absolute mile IMO - good food, good beers, always good atmosphere, and closest to the ground (exept the Estuary on Links Street but I would avoid this). ETA- it has sky sports as well. Edited December 15, 2015 by HIT THE CHANNEL
Bambino7
Not sure if you guys know but Lewis seen a specialist down South a couple of weeks back and was given the good news his rehab is well ahead of schedule at this point. I think he has to go back at the end of Jan to hopefully get the all clear to get back training.
Hank Scorpio
I'd heard about him going but didn't know the result, that's cracking news. Would be tremendous to have him back before the end of the season.

He's out of contract in the summer so hoping to show what he can do before then.
