Been going too long
1 hour ago, Skyline Drifter said: I'm astonished to hear Dapo Mebude is training for football again. That car accident was serious enough his life was in danger and there was talk of 'life changing injuries'. Delighted to hear it if he's looking at making a football return. His big asset with us as a kid was his pace. I guess the question is can he still run at that sort of pace. If he can he'll be an asset. If not he'll have to try to change his game. He was good for us but he didnt particularly look a big scorer. He mostly played as a wide attacker. We had him on one side and Izzy Jones on the other with Connor Shields in the middle and for a period were unstoppable going forward. Then Jones did his hamstring and Mebude got his infamous Covid suspension and our season petered out. The one thing our team lacks is raw pace hopefully we can get some into the team
pub car king
Murray does love unleashing a bit of chaos now and again. I think it's some kind of release from being a fairly professional type maintaining a straight face and dignified appearance.

Plus, with three attacking mids and a striker, a hexagon is right out…four shall be the number of the attackers, and the number of the attackers shall be four. Thou shall not countest to three except then to countest to four… Edited July 22 by TxRover

RandomGuy.
Someone on our forum saying you've signed Stevie May, FWIW. Not sure how you'd use him? Hit 10 goals for us 2 seasons ago, then 0 last season, so it's hard to know what version you'd be getting. He relies on having support regardless though, if he's left isolated up front he struggles and always has.

I’d be hopeful at Championship level he’d do a job TBH.

We're not the quickest at getting support around the striker at times, but that's more down to the setup we have than much else. 31 years old fits the profile we've been looking for with players to be fair, seasoned pros rather than raw talent (Gibson/Montagu aside). Not the most overwhelming of goal returns in his career. 1 every 3.7 games.
