Reading an article on Canadian Govt warning its citizens re visiting the US and it mentioned;

"Some states have enacted laws and policies that may affect 2SLGBTQI+ persons.

Had not a clue of half of what that was, fortunately they explained;

The term 2SLGBTQI+ is widely used in Canada for people who consider themselves two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning or intersex.

I am struggling to keep up with the growing descriptions, and there might be a Q missing.

Two Spirit is a Native American term that's been around for decades apparently, so those who like to clutch their pearls over the fate of the modern world can stand down, as it affects them even less than everything else.

If you are interested I once read a blog about the history of the term “two-spirit” and the people behind it.

Interesting. I have no idea who the guy who wrote it is, think he’s an anonymous anthropologist.

If you're like me, for the first couple of weeks it won't sink in. When I retired, I kept trying to work out how many days I had left before I had to go back to work, then the penny would drop and I would relax.

You couldn't even see out the week? They'll be glad to see the back of you.

Two more weeks for me. Hasn’t sunk in either. For the last two weeks of September I’ll still be assuming I’m going back to work after a holiday. What am I going to do in my retirement? Haven’t given it a thought. What a lovely problem to have.

Congratulations to @The DA and @oldbitterandgrumpy - keep an eye out for the warning signs of miserable auld cuntery, such as hovering by the thermostat in case the missus decides to put the heating on.

Enjoy being part of the last generation who can afford to stop working!  :P
