ANEWHOPE
Hartley's PR team spinning this a treat by planting McCoist's name in order to view Hartley as the messiah incarnate and breath a sigh of relief when don't end up with Notsosuperally.
Gaz
Our board were one of the shameless few who wanted to let Sevco back directly into the First Division. Could easily see McCoist being hired. That'll please the fucking Rangers apologists in our support, of which I've stated several times over the years there are far too fucking many. Genuinely SEETHING about this possibility.
AL-FFC
No one in there right mind would hire him surely to f**k they should accept application from him and put it in the f**k no pile or straight in the shredder. bear in mind he had a premier league budget for those titles he won crawling from league 2 to the championship and still couldn't take them to the SPL at the first time of trying.
GaZaH
As a StMirren fan (and I guess most of your league rivals) please make it McCoist Still think it will be hartley if the Falkirk board have any sense, he seems the sensible shout
Bigbrbairn
If Hartley gets the job I can see us haring up the league
Larbert_Par
Surely Falkirk wouldn't actually hire McCoist?Of the names mentioned so far, wouldn't Hartley be the best of them?

You won't get many fans disagreeing with you but our board are a different matter.

He obviously has a great man management skill as he seems to get the best out of all his players. You mention Hartley's successor not being up to much . Aitken's was far worse ( Brian Reid ) in that he destroyed the team spirit at Stranraer and dismantled all that Aitken had built . Hence Stranraer's dramatic fall down the leagues. If I had a choice I would opt for Aitken over Hartley any day . Aitken should be nowhere near our short list, the day we hire a manager who couldn't win back to back league games over a season and makes his teams difficult to beat whilst we are in the 2nd tier, then its time to lock the doors up for good. If you'd choose a manager that has won things over three divisions out of four to one who hasn't, then that says more about you than we need to know

richd
You think? It would not surprise me one tiny bit if McCoist was to be offered the job. Our board would see it as a glamour signing! Oh dear!!
Monkey Tennis
McCoist would be quite the most hilariously wonderful appointment. No chance though. Surely.

It remains to be seen whether he could handle the "higher calibre " of player at Falkirk . Hartley's man management skills were shown up at Dundee when he was amongst full time prima donnas . Better going with the easier option of fat Sally. At least the players would enjoy themselves with that jovial master.
Bring Back Paddy Flannery
We'd had a brilliant start to the season under Hartley (following two great seasons and consecutive promotions). He didn't 'rage quit' or leave us in the lurch IMO.The team that he left contained the nucleus of the team that stayed up that season and also the following one. We were relegated at the end of our third season in the Championship mainly because Danny Lennon failed to hang onto that nucleus. Hartley has been the best and most successful manager at Alloa in the last 40 years IMO.He was clearly also a success with Dundee until last year. Probably was due a bad season. It happens to pretty much all good managers. He 100% rage quit, lets be honest. He ran into your chairmans office with his resignation after a 5-1 pumping from us at the Recs where his face turned physically purple.Falkirk would be replacing seething red faced mess with a seething purple faced mess. An arsehole for an arsehole.
Dunning1874
McCoist did win two successive promotions, so he's a better option than Stevie Aitken

Realy McCoist is a good tele pundit a no show as a manager. Hartley would be a decent shout if you want to avoid the play-offs.

Harsh perhaps, but I'd suggest that's a poor season for a manager.
