Guest
It is, and without knowing your age or when you last went there, I can categorically assure you that it is exactly the same now as it was then. The slice of lemon with your breaded haddock, 23 chips and 114 peas is a little smaller than it was in 1978, but other than that (and prices), nothing has changed. Some people reckon it’s a time warp portal into another dimension.Interestingly, they still use a brand of condiments that have been unavailable since 1984, so there might be some truth to the portal thing.Believe it’s due to feature in a new series of The Twilight Zone.

Used to drive past it a fair bit years ago, but never been in due to it being at the arse end of town and not knowing a single person who had ever eaten there and enjoyed it. Pretty much the Grangemouth version of The Three Kings.

Funny you should mention it, I've been to a fair few weddings over the years. Good every one of them. Does the wee tramp from the shire still do the events?
come on shire
If anyone's interested, due to Shire ground sharing at the Falkirk stadium next season, Falkirk season ticket holders can get a Shire season ticket for half price (£40 I believe). Good luck for next season

Good luck for next season I wasn't even aware that they were ground sharing. Makes sense given the pitch surface.

Falkirk's Peter Stringfellow now passed the baton to his son, tho still there in the background.
Guest
Hazy memory, but I am sure it was originally funded by a football pools winner (somebody by the name of McIntosh??), and in essence, it’s just the same now as it was back then (very early 70s).Actually, there used to be an elderly couple who went there every Friday for lunch back in the 70s. They themselves were in their early 80sThey can still be seen there every Friday. Amazingly, they are still in their early 80s.

Could have been worse, they could have put East Stand.
Bigbrbairn
Said McIntosh was in the Falkirk Squad for the 1957 winning cup final but did not play. Or so I was told!
