Bairn in Exile Posted Saturday at 12:50 Share Posted Saturday at 12:50 (edited) McKenna not in the starting 11 or on the bench - anybody ITK? And no Falkirk TV? Edited Saturday at 12:51 by Bairn in Exile
LatapyBairn. Posted Saturday at 12:51 Share Posted Saturday at 12:51 Hopefully nothing too serious, the one thing we are definitely going to need this season if we are going to make a push is a bit of luck with injuries.

Agree, both our LB & RB will face more pressure than what they’ve been used to. As long as Donaldson is good for go at the real games, be a lot happier.

Taxi for De Massis Posted Saturday at 13:24 Share Posted Saturday at 13:24 23/24 - The Invincibles Now, we’re Scotland lookalikes! Still, pre-season innit
Bairn in Exile Posted Saturday at 14:18 Share Posted Saturday at 14:18 None of us want to lose a game but this Invincibles tag is a bit of a monkey on our back. We have to lose a game sometime so lets lose one of our pre-season friendlies and then we can relax and play with a bit of freedom. -
NavyBlueArmy1876 Posted Saturday at 14:28 Share Posted Saturday at 14:28 (edited) Just goes to show you that friendly results really do mean absolutely nothing Jordan Allan on up front for the second half. Big chance for him to stake a claim ETA: goal and an assist for him already to put us ahead Edited Saturday at 14:39 by NavyBlueArmy1876

GunnerBairn Posted Saturday at 14:46 Share Posted Saturday at 14:46 (edited) Goal and assist for Jordan Allan. The lad’s fighting for his jersey. All good competition and exactly what we need in the squad. Up to others to ensure they up their own game and keep their jerseys. Hartleys18/19Army Posted Saturday at 15:07 Share Posted Saturday at 15:07 Honestly don't see why Allan can't have a big part to play next season. Completely different from McIver and Shanners.
Claudia Gentile Posted Saturday at 15:08 Share Posted Saturday at 15:08 Just caught up with the DLD podcast with Jamie Sneddon - an interesting insight. Covers his time with Thistle and the trials of being a goalkeeper. Wee bit on looking forward with Falkirk towards the end too. Spoiler ^ link in spoiler.
Blame Me Posted Saturday at 15:09 Share Posted Saturday at 15:09 Impressed by Adam's even though he was played out of position. Looks pacey and looked like he can play a bit. Young lads who came on did well and all-in-all a good work out in the end.

Guessing he had to play CB?
Blame Me Posted Saturday at 15:18 Share Posted Saturday at 15:18 He replaced Mackie at LB, McIver took over Hendo's position at CB and we kept BSTL and Yeats in their regular roles.
Harry Kinnear Posted Saturday at 15:26 Share Posted Saturday at 15:26 Jeezo, just seen we were 2 nil down today, John must have been fearing for his job, thank f**k the lads rallied

May be wrong but I can’t see him being benched for a 33 year old. If McKenna’s age was a factor he would not have been signed.

Learned even more about the squad now and versatility is key again. MacIver asked to play CB and Adams switching to LB. I think that’s good management from McGlynn, asking more from the squad. In many ways it’s not new to us. MacIver is like big Crawford Baptie playing up top and defence, with Adams reminding me of Hagi MacPherson playing on the opposite wing. Throwing them in to these positions in a pre-season game gets them used to their surroundings and ready for the real stuff.

Of course this is true...never seen the guy play myself but I'll assume he can cover nesbits position....he won't be starting though...nesbit was superb last season & will be a key player in how we do this one
Tea and Busquets Posted Saturday at 16:28 Share Posted Saturday at 16:28 Had enough chances to win a month’s worth of games. Really impressed with Ross and Adams in the second half.
