Totally unsure what to put im my case for my 5day trip nxt mon as never been.

Too warm for jeans. Too cold.ish for shorts...??!

I got sunburnt last Wednesday and had shorts on the whole time I was there. It rained once, really heavily, but it wasn't cold. It was a bit chilly at night though.

The local TV channels are obsessed with the weather and give you an update every 15 minutes. So check that out before leaving your hotel in the morning.

I can recommend another restaurant. http://www.carminesnyc.com/ on 44th Street. Huge sharing plates that were utterly fantastic, and not too expensive either.

BTW ont he subject of bars, 44th street just off times square is Jimmy's corner. If theres one place I always recommend to go, its here. Absolute dive of a wee bar, run by Jimmy Glen, former cut-man to just about every boxer who mattered in the last fifty years. Legend of a gent, his wife is a star too, and the atmosphere in there is great. Any time of day.

I stayed in the Millennium hotel straight across the road from there. Had a few beers in there every night before heading out on the town. As you say, a complete dive of a bar but great all the same. 99 times out of 100 you'd miss it and right right past the place, if you didn't know it was there.

Spoke to Jimmy a couple of times in the week I was there and he seemed like a right miserable old c**t, but a legend in the boxing community.

I'm sure it was $3 a beer which is cheap for anywhere, never mind Times Square.

Hmm had a wee look at the highlands website I'm not sure they will show it, will still ask though, I found a bar online called the football factory on 33rd st, I think this might be worth a try?

Last resort would be Falkirk TV.

I've emailed them there. I see they screened Wimbledon v Accrington on Saturday so surely they can screen the play off final?

Anyone know a bar/pub in New York that will show Scottish football? Trying to find somewhere to watch the Falkirk Kilmarnock play off final games?

Have a gander at The Big Apple Bears' website.  I bet if you messaged admin there they'd be delighted to guide you and may well buy you a pint.  I'm not sure who's running the shop now but they are a decent bunch and I've watched games there (in their old bar) a few times.

If you're nervous I'll happily fire off an email on your behalf.

I love New York! I spent a few weeks there, a totally different me was walking the streets of Big Apple, there is something magical about this city. It's always so busy, but still amazing! I remember being on the top of Empire State Building on my Birthday! The view was breath-taking I will never forget the feeling!

I was at the zoo where one the Hitch scenes were shot. I love it and want to come back
