anotherchance
Aberdeen slags Saints for being small time as their fans "accept their lot". RG mentions Aberdeen fans seem "happy with their lot" Aberdeen fan confirms hes "happy with their lot"I can’t really remember a time when Saints fans were en masse angry or demanding heads to roll with vitriol, and because there’s not big expectations of Europe or winning cups there’s less pressure to get results - May would maybe thrive in that environment. Not small time as such, just a bit of a meh club. Hardly slagging of the century m9.

Also, one thing McInnes doesn’t get enough credit for - taking McGinn away from the middle and turning him into a pacy, goalscoring winner, inside forward. May will do fine at Saints - far more scope for him to get a run in the team at a club where there’s practically no pressure and the fans are always pretty much happy with their lot. I'd rather see Mcginn play more centrally. He scored 20 odd goals playing there in an awful craig Brown side.

Has more quality on the ball than most in the league.
gmcg94
No I do agree he is still a threat and causes problems, just isn’t the same goal threat

Typical friendly really Loads of possession but not a huge amount of cutting edge up top Gallagher and Leigh look great finds Devlin and McKenna very solid Edited July 7, 2019 by Frank Grimes

Performance was okay at times but a lot of players looked very rusty or short of fitness. Leigh and Gallagher looked promising. Main was terrible 1st half but played a bit better in 2nd half. Wright was very, very poor. Definitely need a huge improvement for what could be a tough tie v the Finns in Europe
DrewDon
Aberdeen fans have been writing McGinn's obituary for a few years now. We will probably still be a better team with him this season than without him.

Dons_1988
Starting to be a bit concerned about Thursday. This team will be fitter than us so if they’re semi competent then we could be in for a really tough match. We don’t seem to have had the best pre season in terms of players carrying injuries and not getting the game time

We don’t seem to have had the best pre season in terms of players carrying injuries and not getting the game time Agreed. Teams that are into there seasons are always tough nuts to crack. Also doesn’t fill me with confidence with some the signings del has made, namely that lump of wood main and bringing back ash Taylor is a questionable decision. Think it’s going to be a up and down season for us. No chance of 2nd or 3rd this year.
Frank Grimes
Taylor & Main won’t be first picks, though

gmcg94
Taylor & Main won’t be first picks, though Mikey devlin has had some horrendous injuries so there is no guarantees we will get a full season out of him. So ash Taylor would come in. Didn’t rate him the first time and it was a mistake to bring him back. Panic signing from del. This will be his last yeah imo. It’s about time we need a shakeup
