Aberdeen slags Saints for being small time as their fans "accept their lot".

I don't think Saints fans are "small time". You appear to be though.

I never said you did think that.

I can’t really remember a time when Saints fans were en masse angry or demanding heads to roll with vitriol, and because there’s not big expectations of Europe or winning cups there’s less pressure to get results - May would maybe thrive in that environment.

Not small time as such, just a bit of a meh club. Hardly slagging of the century m9.

Stewart is nothing like dynamic, although I’d say if we had Wilson at the same time as we had Christie and his through balls then he’d have smashed it.

Also, one thing McInnes doesn’t get enough credit for - taking McGinn away from the middle and turning him into a pacy, goalscoring winner, inside forward.

May will do fine at Saints - far more scope for him to get a run in the team at a club where there’s practically no pressure and the fans are always pretty much happy with their lot.

I'd rather see Mcginn play more centrally. He scored 20 odd goals playing there in an awful craig Brown side.

Anyone take in the game yesterday??

That’s the Aberdeen game, not the Saints one.

Typical friendly really

Loads of possession but not a huge amount of cutting edge up top

Gallagher and Leigh look great finds

Devlin and McKenna very solid

Yes. Performance was okay at times but a lot of players looked very rusty or short of fitness.

Leigh and Gallagher looked promising. Main was terrible 1st half but played a bit better in 2nd half. Wright was very, very poor.

Definitely need a huge improvement for what could be a tough tie v the Finns in Europe

Starting to be a bit concerned about Thursday.

This team will be fitter than us so if they’re semi competent then we could be in for a really tough match.

We don’t seem to have had the best pre season in terms of players carrying injuries and not getting the game time
