Every good team has a good balance to it, for most teams that means a healthy blend of experience/youth, defensive/attacking players etc.

For Scotland, a team with 5 Celtic players and none from Rangers is akin to playing 6 up front.

When Scotland played at France 98 there were as many Wimbledon players as Rangers players in the squad. There were 3 times as many Blackburn Rovers as Rangers players. Sound logic from the man who talks like punch drunk Rocky in Rocky 5.

Haven’t heard Lambert today, he’s clearly not ‘thick’ in footballing nous but from whenever I have heard him speak about Scottish football you can tell he has no interest in it at all unless being paid to do so. Craig Burley was the same but was far more arrogant about it despite being almost half the player Lambert was.

I don't associate with any fans of the old or new club but surely even they recognise Rangers were liquidated/died and a new club was formed which had to apply for entry into the Scottish leagues.

Who exactly could have been fined and what track record did they have in paying debts.

Apparently our game would be dead without them - despite crowds per head for a nation our size still being relatively high even without these clubs - who are actually freakshows if anything.

.....and nobody was put down the leagues - they were allowed a freebie admission denied to clubs such as Spartans, Gala and Cove over the years.

Yes, Burley was serviceable for Celtic and Scotland, but Lambert was a class above.

Lambert is one of these players that you could see easily slotting into any Celtic midfield of the current era and still being the best player there.  Made it look easy.

Burley was a good player who could easily play in the current Scotland team.

Lambert was a brilliant player who could have played in any Scotland team.

Both are astonishingly thick though, with horrendous and lazy views on Scottish football.
