craigkillie
Another reason why the SPFL shouldn't have sold the rights to Sky perhaps??. Because they aren't showing every single Celtic away game?
Ludo*1
Sky shouldn't have been sold the rights because they completely missell our game and give it pretty much zero opportunity to grow with their coverage. We should at the end of this deal, take short term financial pain to hopefully see some long term gain (If BT or another show anything resembling serious interest obviously). The fact that Sky aren't showing County vs Celtic is absolutely not a reason as to why we shouldn't have went with Sky though.
Bairnardo
One of their players caused them to have an fixture pile up, and they wouldnt move the game to a Sunday because they hilariously assumed they wouldnt be fucked clean out of the Champions League by Ferencvaros....Yeah, dont think I have much in the way of sympathy then.

Yeah, dont think I have much in the way of sympathy then. That's pretty much the same type of click bait stories from the Sun, can't be arsed to actually look for a real in depth story about any of the 42 clubs right now. Let's just invent a story, trawl a couple of twitter pages and make a shocking headline. Yet people still bite to their shite non event pish every time.

The game can't really be scheduled on a Sunday regardless of what competition they're in because it's entirely possible a Europa League game could end up being moved to a Tuesday if there's a city clash. There have been a few games shifted for various reasons this season - most obviously, some teams share a stadium and literally can't play on the same night.

It's framed as an "explainer" but it's the same old "you think this is complicated well so do we, stupid UEFA LOLZ". The Nations League admittedly isn't the simplest thing to get your head around to begin with, but equally it's far from the most complicated. The whole point of an "explainer" article should be to leave the reader at least with a high-level understanding by the end. It's not a place to reinforce the idea that you need multiple doctorates to know what's going on, just to have another dig at UEFA. Agreed. When the Nations League was launched initially last year (last year? Dunno, time has lost any meaning) the SFA ran introductory sessions for a whole collection of folk; broadcast, broadsheets, dailies, we were invited along as part of the new/digi media stuff as well and it was explained in as much detail as they could. Obviously not something they could do this time, but the contacts remain the same. If you want to know more from the folk that know... ask them?

A combination of laziness and 'isn't it just funnier to all be confused' is driving this approach. Like an old person trying to claim they could never understand the quantum physics that is the basic operation of a smartphone..

You specifically described an example of them not showing an Old Firm game as "another reason why the SPFL shouldn't have sold the rights to Sky", so you'll understand why I'm confused.
