Because they have tyres and punctures happen. So you have a puncture and you jack it up with the jack you don't have. What do you do next? Replace the punctured tyre with the spare one you don't have either?

We need to remove the wheel to do that which means jacking it up or putting it on a ramp.
welshbairn
Think I'm going to spend whatever it takes to keep my 2012 Nissan Note going as long as possible. I was tempted by electric but apparently if you drive less than 5 thousand miles p.a. you're doing more for the planet by keeping an old rust bucket going on petrol.

IrishBhoy
Used to think Audis were bad for having horrifically bright main beams but the new model Citroens are genuinely life endangering to other road users, especially on dark country roads. If modern car manufacturers are going to insist on having these ultra bright xenon LED super duper head lights installed, then they need to be dipped far enough that they don’t shine straight into the car in fronts rear view mirror. My friend bought the Citroen 5008 a couple months back and his main beam could light up the other side of the moon, so god knows what his full beam is like, I don’t think you would have a retina left if you looked straight in to it though.
jimmy boo
It's impossible to do that on Teslas, as it turns your car into a brick if you attempt it, so i wouldn't be shocked if Bugattis are the same. You need to contact Tesla to shut the car down before you jack it up to take a wheel off.The report says he was driving a Mercedes so no idea why you've taken the thread onto Teslas??

Two topics running at the same time mate. Bugatti/Tesla topic was to do with tracking software which branched off into other Tesla software. The Mercedes one was the death of a cyclist.

coprolite
Scenario for the highway code enthisiasts on here. I was approaching a zebra crossing the other day. A full grown man on a bike was on the opposite pavement waiting for the traffic. I thought "f**k that guy, he's on a bike" and kept going. A twat coming the other way stopped and waved him across. He had to stop on the crossing to let me across and called me a w****r. I responded with an equally witty zinger. Two questions Should i have stopped? Should i have put it in reverse and tried to flatten the c**t?

Should i have put it in reverse and tried to flatten the c**t? Highway Code Rule 81 “Do not ride across equestrian crossings, as they are for horse riders only. Do not ride across a pelican, puffin or zebra crossing. Dismount and wheel your cycle across.” Toucan crossings are covered in Rule 82 - they are light controlled so are a different thing. “Toucan crossings are light-controlled crossings which allow cyclists and pedestrians to share crossing space and cross at the same time. They are push-button operated. Pedestrians and cyclists will see the green signal together. Cyclists are permitted to ride across. Cycle tracks on opposite sides of the road may be linked by cycle-only signalled crossings. You may ride across but you MUST NOT cross until the green cycle symbol is showing.” Not sure what the law is but I imagine the cyclist committed an offence. So, the answer to the first question is “No”. Unfortunately, the answer to the second question is also “No”.
Guest
Another one for those b*****d cyclists, why do they persist on sitting in a left only lane only to go straight, had one literally just sit holding everyone up as the left filter was on but he was wanting to go straight, some folk are ignorant as f**k.

Refused to fix the car for free and demanded payment "in kind". Thistle_do_nicely
Shout out to the m140i driver who - blatantly ran a red light (turning left) on me while i was waiting to turn right, no filter lane just a normal junction - slowed to about 2mph for every set of bumps for the next 10 minutes of driving as their suspension is so low (begs the question why they just haaaaad to go through that light in the fucking first place, barely saved them any time anyway) - had a pug sticking out her driver side window, clearly in her lap while driving A class act all round Edited May 30, 2022 by Thistle_do_nicely

ICTChris
Clicked into some terrible click bait but saw this discussion. https://www.edinburghlive.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/woman-argues-learning-drive-should-24144063?fbclid=IwAR3Y-oe5IKLzg0cKHVkixvS_EHDkgl-PDaB0PF6lj_e34u04aTYPTexNiOA There are a few people in my family who don’t drive. My wife never learned and so I have to do all the driving. It doesn’t bother me and means we are more environmentally friendly by only having one car. We didn’t have a car at all until we were in our 30s and moved out of the city, it’s not something you need in the centre of Edinburgh. Even so, I could drive so could hire a car or van if we needed to. I’m happy to give people lifts but I know some people who get really ratty about it. Do P&Bers think being able to drive is an expected lift skill or is it a luxury nowadays?
