An absolute minter. You can console yourself with the knowledge that they were knocked out in humbling circumstances at the last 16 stage.
NotThePars
The biggest shock of the evening for me is that USA Soccer Guy is still going as an account.

AMMjag
You could fill a keg and pour a few delicious pints from those BT commentary tears - attempting to build another annual fantasy grievance for their financial cheat heroes before the comic third goal blows even that out the water. McManaman's bad enough, but Fletcher's constant screaming any time the ball goes into the penalty box is unbearable. There really needs to be a no commentary option added as soon as possible.

Bairnardo
Pep sitting back into the dugout and having a drink out his water bottle after the 3rd went in was seriously gif worthy. Someone make it happen

Mark Connolly
That was so unjust when Sterling put it over the bar from 5 yards out, and when Ederson made a c**t of it for the third. Just so unjust.
Jambomo
I’m starting to warm to having McManaman and co as commentators. Watching Premiership teams get horsed out of Europe wouldn’t be as much fun without witnessing the slow change from arrogance and overconfidence at the start of a game to blame and anger at the end.

It’s a disgraceful tweet, but you can’t help but feel a lot of people will share his sentiments that black players should just play football. We’ve a long way to go. There was a poster here calling him 'big headed egotistical'. I've never seen him show off, personally. I wonder what makes him think that?

The papers hammered into Sterling for years. The media coverage he got was a disgrace. Lots of people still assume that blatant racism isn't rampant in the press and therefore any slagging Sterling got was legit.

I’m just playing devils advocate here but Sterling came through the ranks at Liverpool, almost won the league there in 13/14 losing out to Man City who he then joined in 2015 for more money and the fact they were better at the time. Liverpool have since improved and won the premiership for the first time and won the CL which is something that Sterling hasn’t come anywhere close to at City. It makes a lot of people think GIRUY when they don’t succeed which is why people find the miss last night so amusing. Liverpool got nearly £50 million for him, it's not like he dumped them on a free transfer.

Iminavest
Sterlings miss is funny purely because its hilarious seeing highly paid professionals do things that we'd rip the piss out of our mates for at 5's.
