We need a good conspiracy theory to explain people who actually believe this stuff. Maybe brain worms from space? They don't show up on autopsies because they're invisible. I think what Le Tiss is getting at is that the government both planned the pandemic and manipulated the weather to suit. I'm very grateful they did as I spent a month landscaping around the house, a job we'd just been quoted 8 grand for before they released the China virus on us. I really need to fix the garage roof this year so hopefully their human bird flu concoction is just about ready to go.

Wouldn't it make more sense to have Zeus conjure up torrential rains if you wanted to keep everyone indoors during your plandemic?

Will this conspiracy ever end?! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-68768598 Thankfully we're going to end up being governed exclusively by King Charles III and Prime Minister William Rees-Mogg, who will protect our interests much better than so-called Europe and their supposed "human rights". Britons don't need foreign garbage like "protections" and "tolerable living conditions".

It’s not that far fetched I suppose. So Thatch was right- British Leyland workers must have been KGB stooges in the 1970s then! Da Comrade, we will bring their economy to its knees by bunging up the roads with broken down Princesses and Allegros. I'd laugh if their button also included e-bikes. All those courier tossers suddenly coming to a halt and going arse over tit.

I don't know what the context for all this is, but the fear that governments would exploit a pandemic to erode liberties is an entirely sensible one. It was my main fear (aside from, obviously, death) at the start of all that.

It was my main fear (aside from, obviously, death) at the start of all that. I don't think it was entirely sensible tbh and Naomi Wolf is a fruit loop. The idea that any government would want to force people to stay at home instead of be out working and spending money is completely irrational and illogical. For example, one of the first big things they did after the first lockdown was Eat Out to Help Out. What civil liberties do we, or did we, have that governments want to curtail? The right to protest - but even at the height of Covid risks they were remarkably accepting of protests against Covid restrictions, the Met Police and racism. What else? People vastly overestimate how much governments care about what they do with their days.

Nothing could ever be coincidental.

It also made the point that, for a lot of these folk, these conspiracy movements are their first experience of friendship, so they have to believe our of fear that they'll end up back being Billy No-Mates again if they question anything. Makes you wonder how many members of the National Socialist German Worker's Party just liked the beer and chatting shite about the football, then pretended to agree with wee Adi's rants about racial purity to avoid having to make friends elsewhere.

Ideally, I'd get a Kubelwagen kit and get someone to build it.
