Petty Things That Get On Your Nerves...

And every Spring without fail people complain.

I know fine well what causes them. People complain because they should be repaired. It's not like an "old man shakes fist at cloud" scenario where people are moaning about things that are beyond control. They are repairable, and they should be repaired. Driving round the roundabout at Cameron Toll shopping centre shouldn't need a dune buggy.

If that is a one off shift, I don't see the problem. Our staff group recently agreed to work 3 x 12 hour shifts a week, giving them 4 days off per week.

Terrific shifts. Is it a 24hr shift work?

It amuses me when you see fuckwits driving SUVs swerving round potholes.

Isn't dealing with potholes the point of an SUV?

I am biased against "Chelsea tractors" anyway.

I drive a monster truck so it doesn't affect me, but I'm concerned about the little people.

Provided staff are consulted I don't have a problem with this.

Where I worked we had 24/7 operation.  We had 2 weekend shifts - the day guys worked 2x12 hours shifts (Sat/Sun) and the night guys 1x11 and 2x12 (Frid/Sat/Sun) then the rest of the week off - same pay as the 39 hour week guys.  Needless to say, they were popular shifts.

When I get tagged for photos on here.  I try not to solve it, but the puzzle sits there and eventually has to be addressed like a bad itch.  Impressed myself with one the other night, although I find it unsettling how easy it can be to pick up so much so quickly.  Thankfully I'm not in the scamming business.

Been a few months since I've been near Falkirk, but I'm guessing that the Covid levels have something to do with the number of folk who consider masks, distancing, and washing hands to be optional extras.

Once more people started back at work in July/August last year, the bus drivers very quickly gave up demanding masks before entry, presumably because they knew that they'd get no backing from their bosses if they ended up running late due to some shrill selfish walloper who wouldn't accept being refused entry.

Quite literally only one person to blame for this emoji23.png

The Tories as they're always to blame

This would make an excellent thread topic. What can't be blamed on the Tories?

The Royal Family is one obvious example. There will be others.

  • Rangers being liquidated
  • The volume of people voting Tory
  • Hitler annexing the Sudetenland

That's about it.

At first glance I read that as Sunderland.
