Petty Things That Get On Your Nerves...

Where are the flares when you really want them?

Another tip worth considering for next time. Maybe everyone could get their hoses out (down Kenneth!) and water their front gardens at a coincidentally opportune moment?

Also, maybe the local council could be quite happy to see the march go ahead, but "reorganise" the bin collection timetable for the affected streets to have the umpteen varieties of waste collected at the same time?

Not sure how petty it is, but we have had a great first week on holiday, but things may have changed.

We're in a nice, quiet place, but yesterday the massed shouts, squeals and screams of an Italian extended family arrived, whose main preoccupation appear to be shouting for the adults and squeals and screams for the children. Not those long, "horror film" type screams, you understand, more like those one second utterances you might get from standing on a piece of Lego.  They were around the pool last night, four hours after it "closed".

Might have to spend more time in the bar.

People who cant "read the room" on ambience and decide that they own the place because they are in a big crowd are more than a pttgoyn imo.

Only surprising thing is that they are Italian and not from Essex...................

I'll call your Essex, and raise you Spaniards. Obliviously the loudest people on earth when they are in a pack!

I was idly looking at the planning permission for a market in Spain (as you do) and thought it was funny to read "Although it is Fiesta season and we want everyone to enjoy themselves, music is forbidden between the hours of 4am and 10am to allow residents a good night's sleep".

Surely you simply failed at the German towel ploy and allowed them unfettered access.

Not at all. There's plenty of sunbeds so nobody "reserves" sunbeds and the screeching harridans only arrived last night. (Didn't stop the wee fekkers trying to hold a screaming competition around the pool though.) I'm hopeful that the whole tribe might b#gger off to the beach every day.
