Just to bring us back to the Pars game for a second…. I’ve seen people mentioning Ross Millens β€œyaaaass” at full time but I’m not sure I’ve seen anyone mention Ian Murray’s celebration when he came over?Β

Double fingers in the ears followed by a GIRUY salute- glorious!

We’re keeping that on the down low, Ian Murray isn’t allowed to over celebrate in derby games.Β

I’ve tried to see on the socials if there was a video of Murray’s celebration as it was brilliant.Β

So O'Reilly has gone from being without a club to being Premiership quality in the space of 6 weeks? I'm not having that. He's a steady enough player who I would like to keep hold of as a squad player but I think folk are getting a bit carried away, probably in part due to his two goals on Tuesday.Β

That has to be the most sensible post you have ever made on here....Β Β

Fully agree.Β  He was without a club first half of the season, so the thought of loads of chaps at his door now seems a bit unrealistic.Β  He has been in a window with us, but that's quite a limited window in the grand scale of things.
Would like him to sign, but in reality he is not going to be guaranteed as a starter.

I think in football, players stock goes up and down. When he didn’t have a club, he was part of a defence that had been relegated. Now, in his short spell with us, he’s impressed in a defence that’s top of the championship and has scored 3 goals from set pieces.Β
Β

Being a goal scoring centre half for a team top of the championship will have seen his stock rise considerably (whether it’s justified or not)

I’d prefer O’Reilly to stay as it would be the least disruptive in terms of our momentum instead of trying to integrate a totally new player - better the devil you know etc. However, he’s absolutely right to seek the best move for him financially given he spent a good few months out of the game.

If he does go then he might be the β€˜cultest’ of cult heroes in our history - 6 appearances, unbeaten and 2 wins at East End including a match-winning double.

Brilliant from the club on this one.

No Dan O’Reilly or Sam Stanton in photos.

Dan is in the on-pitch photo in a cosy embrace with Connolly.Β

Stanton will be doing rehab work if he's in so will likely have a different training time to the rest of the squad. As mentioned, O'Reilly is in other photos.Β

I also liked Big Kev hurling the ball into the Pars end at the full time whistle
