We continue to use Bates until then and we can then get Barr back match fit in January. Then Bates can go out on loan for the second half of the season to get additional experience.Barr is well away from being fit, so, if we need someone out now to bring in someone else, then sending Barr out is a non starter. I can't think of a worse Rovers player outside the Anelka mob. But aye. Good luck to Bates. Would be good to see him establish himself like Callachan and Vaughan. He's only played once and hardly covered himself in glory in a 6-1 defeat against Dunfermline on the opening day. He'll hopefully learn from an experienced player in Dods while getting game time. He's looked comfortable so far at Championship level so you'd imagine he'd be fine.
