Guest Back Post Misses
I can't see the problem with this. It's widely recognised and acknowledged that you can't make political statements at the football. A saltire in itself would've been fine (although you only have to look at the fine St Johnstone received to see how a national flag can cause bother) and Falkirk were acting responsibly, making sure they couldn't face any punishment. Obviously there have been much more overt and widespread statement at Rangers games recently, but 'they did it first!' is hardly a justification. Rangers obviously aren't concerned about potential ramifications, but that doesn't mean Falkirk shouldn't be. The Falkirk fans clearly have a lot of reasons to feel alienated from their club by a board that has made some poor decisions, but I can't see that this is one of them. This is not the first time that poor stewarding/poor direction of stewarding has raised its head at the stadium. It is also not the first time the club have appeared to favour this lot over their own fans. (Voting them into Div 1 accusation and announcergate). Add the continual weakening of the side with player sales of over £1.2m since January. most have just had enough of the perceived take take take attitude of our club's board and getting our noses rubbed in the dirt. It has been a culmination of incidents and the boil has burst over this.
Silvio Tattiescone
It's the utter crass stupidity of a stadium filled with Union Jacks and songs of Rule Britannia and our club tears down the Saltire. Fuckin idiots.

There's plenty of logic in this and ostensibly, you're right. It's understandable that this is bloody galling for Falkirk fans though. When Rangers visit, the place becomes filled with flags and songs that are clearly displayed in order to communicate a political message. This is allowed though because the scale of it would be difficult to tackle. Instead, something much less damaging and dangerous is targeted. The statement offered by the club is utterly crass and insulting to those who know exactly what's going on.
Silvio Tattiescone
Quite a few folk on the club's Facebook page saying there was a Union flag with "No Thanks" in the North Stand that was allowed to remain.

Marshmallo
The word to describe Falkirk at the moment is "servile".
Moonglum25
For the Attention of all the Falkirk Fans The flag was illegal as it was deemed to be a political statement which UEFA does not allow. Perhaps the handling was wrong but what has been done has been done. The end result of the fiasco is that you no longer have a Safety Officer, probably just as well that you do not have a home game today. Question your board why they did not have the guts to back an individual who was correct in his actions and possibly saved your club from a fine. Think not.

Would like to see the how that would go down in a court of law.

ImageUploadedByPie & Bovril1411804518.541655.jpg That is the problem isn't it - 1 set of rules for the Bigoted sisters and another set of rules for everyone else. Do you honestly think anyone will take action against that pair?

Do you honestly think anyone will take action against that pair? And this is why we are annoyed with the statement from the board. Condemning our own support while we sit across from that lot. Fucking pathetic. As I said I won't be back to tfs until there is a change.
NavyBlueArmy1876
Outed yourself as a bigot. Congratulations. Called a bigot by the second biggest roaster on P&B. Devastated.
gav-ffc
"Falkirk Football Club, like all football clubs in Scotland, does not allow the display of banners or flags of a political nature at its matches" Yet St Mirren have advertising boards for both SNP and Scottish labour. Does the above statement only count when money is not involved towards the club?

We've got hoardings from political parties too.

Signings have been overall pretty average/poor, given most of them have had an extended run in the team.A board which continues to alienate the fans. Where do we go from here?
