I know they have said it is temporary AND Holt has said he doesn't want it, but it shows the extent to which I don't trust these b*****ds that I could still see them appointing him. Just about everyone twigged where this was going the minute Holt appeared over the horizon. That’s one thing you can say about this board......some stuff is really transparent.....we can see the next clusterfuck coming.

I’m just hoping Holt was watching what they pair were up to and had to intervene. If he is going to meddle with the next manager as well then he can do one.

Shadwell Dog
29 minutes ago, PedroMoutinho said: A squad of 18 doesn't work- you've got to have competition for places in every position. One of the reasons players like Alston and Keena are performing so poorly this season is because they know they'll be playing every game no matter what as there is no depth in their positions. There will also be injuries and suspensions over the course of a season- you need to have players able to come in to cover. We would be unable to field a team on Saturday if we had gone with an 18 man squad this season and the board would righly have been castigated for approving it. We've got 5 bloody strikers for God sake. How much depth do you want?

Alloa gone down but by all accounts did a good job with them. Sure his family home is down south. We will obviously be playing out the season with Holt and altho I'd personally want a temporary new face, it's mission impossible the split games with injuries, suspensions and recent form where picking up draws will be a bonus with what's left.

Instead of taking your anger out on a fellow fan why not direct it towards engaging with your board? I'm genuinely full of remorse if you took my post as being condescending, it was a genuine heart felt post to empathise with fellow fans of another club who are suffering in a similar way as we have been. Don't get me wrong, on a match day I'll happily revert to type as a wiegie dummy scheme boy and abuse spit and fight like f**k with you but is it wrong to engage away from games? I feel the pain, most fans go through it and share your frustration at feeling there is f**k all you can do about it.
Scorge
Absolute banter if we fast forward 12 months with Cove having gone up and Lolkirk still in the third tier, hanging onto a play off place after a 3-0 sausaging off QP as yet another metaphorical ex-girlfriend gets an upgrade. (Almost as funny as any notion you have of getting Petrie TBH.) Edited April 21, 2021 by Scorge

18BAIRN76
When Hartley and McKinnon left, I felt a shot of joy that they had gone and that things might actually improve. Maybe the fact it didn't has taken its toll on me, but I don't feel any kind of joy today. I'm 'happy' they have gone, but this is outweighed by the total dismay of the state we find ourselves in and my total lack of confidence in the club to get the next step right. Its going to be some appointment as it’s a complete rebuild (again) not sure who’s in contract but surely low single numbers. For me empty the whole lot and start from the scratch, if it’s a case of paying off the Alston's etc just do it.!! If it requires a two year rebuild, do it. But FFS do it correctly with the right manager who is experienced and knows how to play our simple game. The past three years have been horrible, horrendous, horrific and just unacceptable. Don’t think too many on here would argue............ I'd keep Mutch, Dixon, Morrison, Telfer. Maybe Connolly, maybe Dowds and maybe Gomis. The rest can go.

Dixon & Gomis at a very big push. I was told today Connolly questioned why he was left out a squad with Lee Miller in the squad instead.
Forest_Fifer
Christ and we're getting slagged for thinking we should be doing a lot better than we are. Should east Fife be expected to be any higher than fifth in league one really on their budget and crowds when able? Based on the squad we have, yes. We've been unable to defend corners for years, his use of subs is woeful, and he has favourites who dont get dropped no matter what.EDIT - I'm not really selling him, am I? 18BAIRN76
Allan Stubbs or Alex Rae would go a long way to ensuring I never set foot back inside the Falkirk Stadium.
