It was always going to take longer than a summer window to get the good ship Falkirk FC turned around and heading in the right direction. You just hope that noone has a decent start to the season otherwise but Dunfermline have managed to grind out results consistently. We need to push on now and just keep winning games. Unlikely though it may be you just never know what might happen and it's important we hit good form for the playoffs if it doesn't. Get second place sewn up early as possible and then prepare for whoever comes 3rd.

The primary aim now is to ensure we finish no lower than second. If we do that by winning the league, then happy days, but it doesn’t look likely. If we beat them twice, then yes, it will make things interesting.

If we finish second, then it’s all about being prepared correctly for the play offs.

I think we have all seen that the defence has gone a bit off the boil lately, and we concede in most games, so if that can be tightened up a bit, then who knows?

Bit of a kick in the tadgers but objectively very very funny. There is not a bigger cuck in Scottish football than Airdrie.

Couple of winnable (ish) ties opened up in the Scottish cup too. Raith Inverness or Ayr at home would give us a chance.

Yet you regularly get pumped by the biggest cucks in Scottish football. 😘

Yes, Dunfermline are grinding out results and show no sign of slipping up. From our point of view, the play offs are increasingly likely and we need to ensure 2nd spot by winning as many games as possible. If we were offered to finish 2nd and have a decent lucrative cup run thrown in, I’d have bitten your hand off at the start of the season. If someone had offered the same midway through last season, I’d have said they were insane. Just shows how much improved we are in a very short space of time. Keep the unbeaten run going and see where it takes us.

Agree but still feel we fell seriously short in two/three key positions. Maybe overlooking the amount of shite we’ve have to pay before M&S took over. Big pants on now

Mcglynn hoped the likes of Williamson would do for a season and perhaps he wasnt quite pushing hard enough to get some of the other players out the door in the summer but he's managed to get things righted in the January window. The injury to meekinson is a real blow as he may have made a big difference in the run in unfortunately.

Regardless of the progress we’ve made - and we undoubtedly have made a lot - I still don’t see us going 3-0 down in a game and winning 4-3. That kind of game defines seasons and wins you leagues unfortunately. As others have said, beat them twice and you never know, not over till it’s over and willing/hoping to be surprised etc, but I’d be expecting us to have to take the play-off route now.

Beat them at their place, it will ask the question of them, and give us wee bit momentum. Beat them again at TFS, you just never know how the season will end.

Still think there’s a few twists and turns…

Motherwell in free fall, another club that deserves the lower leagues.

Yeah, they have dodged the bullet a couple of times, but if comes to deserving to tumble down, no-one but no-one will surpass the Launderers in that respect.

Long way to go, they won’t win every game between now & May plus we’ll beat them twice too imho.

But Monday is up first & we need to take care of that lot first.

But Falkirk will win every game?

We can only beat what is put in front of us,we will not win every game but neither will Scumfermline.Let's see what happens.

Love the optimism of posters but that lot have just won having been 3 down (and out) then awarded their 5th pen of the season and playing 10 men who capitulated.

We can only dream of benefitting from those types of decisions and scenarios happening to us between now and the end of the season.

Agree with McGlynn that performance needs to start dictating results, starting at Darvel.

We've not got the same mentality as Fifers as Tuesday showed that we're more likely to crack than they are sadly.
