Reasons to be Cheerful

Recommended Posts

I was made redundant a few years ago after a decade of service with the same firm and a senior colleague said "it might not feel great just now, but in the future you'll be glad this happened".
"Aye f***ing right" I thought, but he was right in the end.

Eta:  I'd imagine that you'll probably get a decent enough redundancy package after 15 years and lock-down should reduce outgoings whilst waiting for things to pick up again.  Despite being in different industries in different parts of Scotland, myself, my partner, her dad and my own dad have all been made redundant at some point in our lives and came out fine in the end.  [emoji6]
Thanks for the kind words, looking to take a couple weeks off then have a proper look for another job

First part of today’s teacher in service day was yoga.
I was the only male in a yoga studio full of women in yoga pants!

Did you not say that your new colleagues fell into the 'wid not' category?

Amazing the power that yoga pants have to change minds!

That marshmallo fellow has taken to those wee red dots on almost everything I say to the point I kinda look forward to it and get a strange sense of relief when I get the notification.

I don't think it's having the desired effect.

Odd little boy.

Well, not quite (yet).  Lengthy list of fairly basic corrections to make, and then I'll be there.

Cheers though.  ;)

How long before we can start asking you about our health problems?

Lanzarote booked for next summer emoji1696.png

How confident are you Tynie that it won't be affected by COVID

I've got a few trips lined up just to have something to look forward to. Made sure they're all refundable or at least postponable though.
