Adams basically does as he pleases and can get himself to f**k with his grievance mongering tweets

Why is every response about this so vague? Is he in the MI5?

What has he actually done?

Adams picking and choosing when he wants to train based of if he’s playing or in squad. He can gtf. Believe he didn’t follow management instructions after the goal too.

Wait, after all that, all that talk of him being a "lunatic" and a "headcase" and saying that "he knows what he did", he just refused to train when he wasn't in the squad?  Unprofessional for sure, but why does the club not just say that?  Why is everything so cloaked in mystery?

If its true that he refused to train, then absolutely, freeze him out.  I could understand his disappointment, but he needs to be professional.

He does what he wants

The guys clearly a very decent keeper and has a lot of ability but you can see why he’s not played at a much better level than the one he’s spent most of his career at

And it’s got nothing to do with Arbroath or Jim McIntyre

Cause his attitude will absolutely stink and Jim doesn’t want that clearly. Hes a fine keeper as a number 2 if he wants to act like he does then fine but Arbroath clearly don’t appreciate it. Fans need to stop masturbating over him and growing his ego which is clearly large enough

plus we pay him a wage to attend all training sessions and games something he clearly isn’t interested in

Is this the same Ali Adams who scored that ridiculous goal against us at Stark's Park?

Are we the bad guys now?

So why not release a statement?  "After we signed Boruc and started letting in 5 goals a game due to signing a shot stopper who didn't know how to organise a defence, Ali Adams refused to train with the club due to no longer being in the matchday squad.  The club are very disappointed with this unprofessional conduct, have fined Adams, and he will not be part of the squad going forwards."

Job done.  No more mystery.  No more "he knows what he did" nonsense from fans on here, no more stuff from Adams.

Edited to add, we had no problems releasing a statement when Duncan Ferguson accused us (100% accurately) of "downing tools".  So why not just do it.  Quell all the nonsense.

Can’t release a statement over every little thing that happens

The latest tweets are a bit of a piss take though and it would be funny for the club to tell him to ram it

In reality though it’s a pretty petty thing to do maybe better to just leave him to it and not stoop to his level

There's a big difference between making a statement regarding someone outwith the club making inflammatory comments regarding the club/ professionalism of players and making public statements about currently contracted employees. See Ross Millen at Raith currently - played every week for half the campaign and then 'mysteriously' left out out of the squad entirely for the past 4 months with no comment from Raith Rovers officially at all.

Ross Millen didn't briefly become an international celebrity and give Raith fans one of their great moments.

But if the club don't say anything, then people can't complain about other fans going on about Ali Adams.  After all, he came in scored a goal, kept a clean sheet, got replaced by an inexperienced kid, the goals against column started to tick up alarmingly, and so naturally, we are going to ask, "what happened to that goalkeeper who looked a bit handy earlier on in the season" and made all those international headlines.  He even won an award at the end of season awards which were not advertised to anyone, and which he was apparently not allowed to attend.  So no, if the club don't say anything, then other fans are going to keep going on about him, and there can't really be any complaints about that.

So make a statement because he scored a goal? 😂

Everyone is just latching on to any bit of negativity they can, it’s toxic behaviour

I know I’ll take heat for this but I do find it a bit off that a contracted player who won a club award wasn’t invited to the ceremony.

All we’ve been told here is that Adams is a bit of a dick, a bit petulant and didn’t always do what was expected of him but is that really enough to not allow him to be there to collect his, deserved, award.

Unless of course there’s more to it than us not in the know have been told.

The sun are running a story and the club are coming across horrendously in it. They will surely release a statement

Is the story out?  Got a link?

Surely you wouldn't ban a player from an end of season awards ceremony, where he won an award(!), because he (allegedly) refused to train after being told he wouldn't be part of the matchday squads?   Surely it would take more than that?
