Still p1ssing your pants over losing him though.

Personally, no not really (I appreciate that a lot of Ton fans are though). I do however think that he has acted very poorly, walking away the day before a game without even a word to the players. Now that I see the kind of person he is I am actually quite pleased he is away now rather than later. I also think your BOD have been very clever here, all the Bairns seemed to be totally against them, bottom of the league, no points, Hartley making an arse of things and now all seems wonderful in Falkirk, good deflecting tactics (as long as they can afford it)

Absolutely no one thinks "all seems wonderful in Falkirk" we are merely enjoying the ultra diddiness of Morton and the chronic meltdown of their fans.

Thanks for the much needed light relief.

The Faux outrage is pathetic. He was only with you 3 months.

We lost McCall all those years ago. He had played for us, had us playing the best football we had since Jeffries and built a team to win the league at a canter.

He went to Utd and at the end of the season he removed a strike force that had scored 43 goals between them in Coyle and Samuel and one of our best youth products, Mark Kerr.

I remember we were rightly pissed off at the time and rightly so, but not to the proportions of you snowflake lot.

The compensation claim against Falkirk will, of course, evaporate.  As soon as Rae got round to admitting that he did give Falkirk permission to speak to McKinnon, then he knew damn fine what the subject matter was going to be, since he spoke of his compensation claim in the conversation with Falkirk. His claim that he originally refused is of no consequence, and it just an attempt to diminish personal responsibility.

Everything in Rae’s statement thereafter actually strengthens the “no inducement” argument.

I think Morton will have to settle for hating McKinnon, and satisfy themselves with the possibility that having left Morton as he did, there’s always the chance that he might do the same to us too.

Thats the world of football these days.

It's always been the way of football. Players and managers leave, sometimes having left a bad taste in the mouth, but there's absolutely no point in getting into a frothing, bubble-snottered mess over it. Rae has been embarrassing in his outbursts but will more than likely dial it right back once he's had time to get over the understandable feeling of betrayal.

He had what he thought was a good strong relationship with his manager which turned out not to be so. Looking a few miles down the coast to Ayr shows us what that really looks like.

The local rag should be ashamed of itself for using such inflammatory language.

Where is all the proof we have royally fucked up getting McKinnon? As everyone knows I am no fan of the Board but I have still to read any proof we tapped him up. I am not saying we didn’t but still not been any proof of it that would stand up anywhere.

We have been here before. You just have to get on with it or it eats you up. I am just about getting over Judas Jefferies 20 odd years on.

I agree, where is the proof that we did actually tap him up?

One thing though; why are the Board not releasing a statement to say that they didn't?

The board contains someone who specialises in this stuff. She has probably deemed it the correct path to say nothing, either to avoid potential incrimination or because she knows it's nothing to worry about.

Very good point, very well made!

Why should they?
No need for us to concern ourselves with the mass hysteria in Greenock.

Yeah, be disappointed if we forego our current dignified stance, befitting of our #bigteam stature, and replace it with the Crawford Rae, 4 year old lying down on the floor of the supermarket screaming and kicking its legs approach

I've noticed a for a while now you having digs at lang, or 'lady lawyer' as you most commonly refer to her as. Is there actually another underlying reason for this? Rather than anything to do with the club?

Why on earth would we have acted impeccably with ayr and the dealings with McCall to the point that Ayr used this very phrase when talking about our approach, and then do the polar opposite with Morton?

What other than the fact that her and craig have made a rip roaring cant of things over the last 12 plus months?

Yep we have the majority of our fans thinking 8th is a miracle without us kicking a ball under McKinnon......

That maybe wonderful to Morton but its not to Falkirk

Thing is, even if Falkirk had phoned him and said “we wanted to speak to you about our manager’s job, but your chairman said no”, then that is NOT inducement. If there was no offer of terms, no suggestion as to how to extricate himself from his existing contract (and evidence of the above), then the bluff and bluster will simply fade away.

If Rae chooses to speak to a lawyer, that will become very evident in the first ten minutes of the meeting.
