Jives Miguel
Today for lunch I am having the following: Leek & Potato Soup (roughly 500ml I would estimate) Ham Salad Sandwich (brown bread, plenty of mayo) Banana (still fairly green, ideal ripeness) What are YOU having for lunch? Pictures welcome, and encouraged Edited January 10 by Jives Miguel

Melanius Mullarkey
You say lunch but I had this about 11am. Egg mayo and salad (rocket and cucumber) sandwich (home made) Packet of mini cheddars 2 plums and 1 pear (steady) A Muller fruit corner (bramble and raspberry) Fucking starving now and having to break into my stash of Nature Valley and Cadbury brunch bars. ETA just found a tin of Tesco own brand "big soup". Might have to go for that. Edited January 10 by Melanius Mullarkay
coprolite
Poached eggs on toast. I'd love to send a picture but my endoscope isn't charged up. Here's a picture of an egg instead :

If your working day starts at 6/7 then fair enough. Crunchy green bananas, however, are genuine OFTW territory.

They're mushy, overly sweet baby food once the green has gone. 3 and 4 on the chart velow are the perfect banana. Or have a double breakfast.

If I'm in the house I usually don't eat 'til I've had my third cup of tea.

First it was a steak with you, now it’s the banana. Edited January 10 by eez-eh

Would accept a 3 or a 6. 7 and whatever nonsense occurs above that are an absolute no go. Today I had 2 cooked salmon fillets (Lidl, reduced by 33%) with a wee bit horseradish mayo.
D Angelo Barksdale
Anything less than a 4 and you'd be as well eating a plantain. 5 is clearly a banana at optimal ripeness with 4 and 6 acceptable substitutes.
Alert Mongoose
7 is the only 'ripe' banana surely? And even then only just. @RH33What are your thoughts?

Actually, when I'm riding 40+ miles the skin should be entirely black. Straight into the blood. Marvellous. Anyway, my sleeping pattern is up the spout, so there was no lunch today. Next meal will be a roast chicken I've been looking forward to for ages. Roasting millions of veg too.
BFTD
Been thinking for a while that we needed a "how ripe is your banana?" thread. They are, after all, the Satanic fruit of sexually-repressed deviants. Peeling away from Ireland's largest export for a second, today I had 300g of Asda Honey Style Greek Type Yoghurt Product, and 100g of Peanut & Raisin Mix. Tomorrow I shall likely be having a small container of horrible tomato soup (which is to say, any tomato soup, as it's all vile) because it will be free, possibly followed by one of God's delicious apples to make up for it.

Derry Alli
3 Indian spiced tortilla wraps, tuna mayo (but salad cream rather than mayo but fück calling it tuna salad cream) and some red Leicester. Air fryer, 160° for 5 minutes. Delightful.
