A bottle of Staropramen is far superior to a pint of Tennents.

The beer equivalent of a West Midlands' Derby between two pointless bin towns.

Creedence Clearwater Revival's original 'Proud Mary' is far superior to Ike & Tina Turner's hysterical screaming version. Hitching a ride on a riverboat queen sailing gently down the Mississippi with that caterwauling hammering my eardrums ? No thanks.

I've been listening to OK Computer by Radiohead recently for the first time, and after about 5 or 6 listens I've come to the conclusion that its guff that does not live up to its reputation.

Airbag - not great, not terrible. 6.5/10
Paranoid Android - the first half is really good, the last half is shite 8/10
Subterranean Homesick Alien - boring shite 3/10
Exit Music - excellent song. 10/10
Let Down - more boring, unmemorable crap 4/10
Karma Police - good chorus, little else going for it 7.5/10
Fitter Happier - utter nonsense filler 0/10
Electioneering - dreadful butt rock song, does not fit the vibe 2/10
Climbing Up The Walls - refer to "Let Down" comment 3/10
No Surprises - another good song 8.5/10
Lucky - refer to "Let Down" comment 3/10
The Tourist - refer to "Let Down" comment 3/10

4.88/10

Time for Kid A

Everything in It's Right Place - I really like this, probably my favourite on the whole album 8.5/10
Kid A - very boring dull song, stupid vocal effects, nothing happens 3/10
The National Anthem - good song. Reminds me Funhouse by The Stooges when the trumpet kicks in 8/10
How to Disappear Completely - this sounds like it will be a favourite song for a lot of Radiohead fans. But not for me. I don't like the slow, melancholic nature, its not emotional its just boring to me 5/10
Treefingers - utter nonsense filler 0/10
Optimistic - decent enough, I have no strong thought on this song 7/10
In Limbo - I don't like this. its one of these slow, airy, boring, directionless songs that this band is very fond of 4/10
Idioteque - another good song. So much better when they make faster tempo songs 7.5/10
Morning Bell - dull AF 3/10
Motion Picture Soundtrack - another slow, melancholic song. probably the best of its kind on here 6/10

5.22/10

Overall its more consistent than OK Computer, the lows aren't as low and the highs aren't as high. I will listen to The Bends and In Rainbows, then likely never touch this band again.

This is surely not an unpopular opinion.
