Would love Scotty Arfield to come play for a season, retire and become a young manager for us with McGlynn stepping into DOF. Having someone with Arfields playing experience being guided by McGlynns recruitment and management experience seems like it would go extremely well. But that's probably a pipe dream.

If Mcglynn wants him then fair enough. If he doesn’t I am not for all the nostalgia stuff especially as he won’t be cheap. Not convinced McGlynn as a DOF either

Arfield would be a very expensive player, and would probably require financing outwith the normal wage structure. Wouldn’t expect he’s got the box/box same engine and my concern, would be similar to McGinn, who tbh looked done before injury’s finished him off. We’ve tried the DOF / new young/coach/manager lark, and it’s cost us an extended stay down here, so no thank you to any DOF/upcoming newbie.
McGlynn with Smith have been outstanding with player recruitment (with the odd bump)

Said it a few times - get Miller signed for another three years. A footballer that plays with his head and feet. Not many players with this level of skill at this level.

I know we're supposed to be all professional and 'take nothing for granted' but this league is over. We can start planning for a Championship season next year.

We are excellent champions. We'll done to the management team and the board. I thought last summer it was massively risky keeping McGlynn but it's proved to be a masterstroke.

Hard to argue with this. Should we win on Tuesday v Montrose, we'd be 14 points clear of a shaky Hamilton who haven't won 3 games on the bounce since September. We might not win all of our remaining games, but Hamilton absolutely will not win all of their remaining games. The thing is - their players will know this too. They'll be focused on consolidating 2nd place because Alloa are on a fantastic run of form and I reckon they'll cut the 10 point gap fairly easily.

I genuinely wouldn't take Arfield next season, we play too fast paced dynamic football for a guy on the wrong side of 35.

It's painfully obvious how far off it mcginn is this season and we won't need a player in the squad next season taking up a big wage who's unable to contribute on the park.

If given the choice I would have Tait or someone like him all day.

Absolute pish.

He’d be the best player in the Championship by an absolute mile ffs.

Ross and Shanley haven’t had too much of a chance yet, but have looked okay when they have. I’d keep Oliver - he’s a wise pla and has a goal in him. I think most have done enough to get the benefit of the doubt.

I agree with your Oliver assessment...I think he's a clever footballer who knows what he's good at...I like him as a 10 but as a 10 nisbett is better... would keep him for next year if he's happy to rotate...Oliver is great at keeping the ball... which as a short arse is a difficult skill to master..( love fellow 5 ft 11er)

This post MUST not be shown to any players in the Falkirk Team!

The players should be told that Montrose are only a 93 min wonder goal by Morrison behind us. They are the team that know how to stop us. Now lads get them told.
