  1. “I had to keep my celebrations quite quiet this week because I know I’ve been punished recently for that. But when I looked up and saw the fans, all the fans there, their reactions, it blew my mind. I couldn’t even think. I didn’t really know what to do.” DKD is some boi btw.

  3. God we’re so fucking big time. Although this is the case, anytime we seem to get a big crowd if we don’t start well we end up shitting it. Would love us to attack right from the get go tomorrow and get a quick goal, get the fans on side and thrash they c***s.

  4. The SJFA running all football below level 5 is sensible but unfortunately the mismanagement of the whole transition period means the landscape had changed, the East Juniors are utterly 2nd rate and everyone involved needs to man up and look at the bigger picture and do what is best for the non-league game moving forward.

  5. Here's a wee sample of their utter, utter fail - you'll note that the obese mess is very much at the centre of this nonsense: Of course, some posters knew the score all along:

  6. Thank you very much for the comments and feedback about the show over the last few weeks - it's great to read it's struck a chord with supporters and we're delighted with how it's been received so far. We're still learning as we go and trying to make each episode better than the last. Working on the show has been the best fun I've ever had in my life and I'm delighted to have the chance to continue up until the Scottish Cup final. We hope you keep on watching until then!

  7. They surely wont want to go into the playoffs on such bad form but equally how hard does a player go into a 50/50 when all thats at stake is money into the club? I certainly hope RC and DAB players see it that way but its a double edged sword. Anyway, DKD 94th minute winner at Tanndice, throw his shirt into the ref and straight into the shed to see the game out wi the lads.

  8. Al the EoS have done to date is; 2017/18: Accept Kelty into membership 2018/19: Accept a further 26 clubs into membership Pyramid proposals: Agree to whatever is required in the North and West, but stand their ground as a tier 6/7 league in the east of Scotland ERJFA: Initiate talks with the Juniors I'd say the EoS have done what any other league would have done, and more. They are not the one's to be criticised for this mess.

  9. It does stem from last summer but the ersjfa have already ignored that proposal by voting in 2 regional leagues at tier 6. Tier 6 should not be regionalised. Personally I would allow this to happen if the ersjfa went back to one league as the diagram shows for one season with full amalgamation after the one season agreed for season 20/21 in the east including the tayside clubs. For the record Dundonald Bluebell rejected the proposal because it was void of content not because we don’t want the juniors in. We are open to strategic discussion around amalgamation in the east.

  11. Is this the weekend when the true meltdowns start? Got a feeling that some supporters of certain teams have been in complete denial about their participation in this fight...and now it's hit them square in the coupon. A last minute Falkirk winner, that was clearly offside should ensure the blue touch paper is well and truly lit.

  12. Moving off topic. See the Jim McMillan Club handed over £3k to the club the other week. Well done guys. Wonder what total donations from fans group would be this season ? I can remember a couple. Fund a player with £5k each from 200 Club,Jim McMillan Club and Supporters Club. Quinnys events can't remember the amounts but it's always about £2k and sure the 200 club made a donation recently also. No matter the results the Supporter Groups never fail to amaze me with their continued vocal and financial support. To all well done.

  14. I imagine a large number of the squad, probably a majority, will have no fucking clue who Scot Gemmill is. Any black, gay and Jewish players will hardly be raring to play for Mackay. We don't have many black players at the moment, but should Mackay be appointed any who emerge could very well be wary of playing for such a horrible c**t. We have no idea if there are any gay players in the squad (statistically you think there might be one) but Mackay's horrible shite will not make them feel welcome. The points above apply to any Jewish players, although it's unlikely we have any. Mackay taking a pishy wee 'diversity' course doesn't cut it. He's a dreadful arsehole who should be nowhere Scottish Football, let alone the national team manager job.

  17. This actually happened with Easthouses and Craigroyston moving to the East Region in the Pyramid era. There was also a long standing rumour of Ormiston, I believe, also considering the move. The problem with this is that the East Juniors were holding firm on NOT entering the Pyramid and retaining the status quo of the SJFA outside the SFA Pyramid. Say Kelty Hearts never joined the EoS in 2017/18. That would of meant either LTHV or Threave Rovers would of been promoted to the Lowland League. That would of left the EoS at either 13 or 14 clubs. It's possible they still would of been able to attract youth clubs going senior in the likes of Inverkeithing, Syngenta, Glenrothes Strollers and been more willing to accept Musselburgh Windsor or St Bernard's last year. So I don't think they would of had trouble surviving. The EoS never did anything, much like the SJFA never did anything. Kelty Hearts looked at their surroundings a top of the SJFA East and went "SFA licensing and working our way up the pyramid is better than the Juniors". BSC Glasgow put out their email around a start up WoSFL Dalkeith Thistle looked at their surroundings in the East Region and decided SFA licensing and being in the EoS was a better deal. Clydebank announced they will have a vote on whether to go Senior or not. That takes you up to the end of January 2018. The SJFA response is a questionnaire that still had entry at Tier 5 as an option, which was if I remember correctly the winner of the Tier 5 or Tier 6 choices. The EoS never divided anyone one, it was individual clubs and BSC putting the fear in the West Region of a rival league that finally kicked the SJFA into any sort of action with the Pyramid. Then when even more clubs began announcing their move to the EoS, including Clydebank, the SJFA went to the SFA with the begging bowl out for Tier 6 as they feared being ripped apart.

  26. I, for one, am stunned he was out injured after playing a few games.

  27. Injuries have played a role though. Firstly, regardless of scoring a good few goals, the simple fact is that having a guy like Vaughan fit adds more creativity to the team, gives you a willing outball which will reduce pressure on the midfield and defence and yes, will also score many more goals. Being able to take off a striker or midfielder and replace them with another fit body would also help us in cutting down on mistakes, not to mention the cohesiveness that comes with being able to pick a consistent 11. That doesn't mean it's the sole or even the chief reason for our issues. I have written before and will reiterate here: The board's big mistake was on keeping Smith in the first place and then not trusting him sufficiently to fund a decent team. We ended up with a bunch of guys from the last chance saloon and on top of that couldn't field a specialist senior full back. The team brought in over the summer was woefully unbalanced and lacking in technical ability in key areas. If you don't get the Summer recruitment right, and that goes for the board selection of coaches as much as the coache's selection of players, then your season is fucked from the get go. Coming in 8 games into the season with the window shutting on him, there was a very limited amount that McGlynn could do, and he actually did react to try and shore up our midfield and full back options. Crane has not really put in the performances he did for Alloa last year, but to claim that this is all down to who's coaching the boy is to deny Crane any agency of his own, people have good spells and bad. The board just gone should shoulder some of the blame on where we currently find ourselves. No doubt Sim has made mistakes - recruiting and then keeping Smith would be top of that list. Not sure about the zero commercial sense as they seem to have done wonders on trying to reign in costs and find new avenues of revenue. It's on the footballing side they've been naive. I don't particularly care if we're part time or not, it's not some terrible stigma, it's just a decision we'll need to make. We've been there before and did fine if that's what it eventually comes down to.

  30. Surely people should be pleased with this addition to a team like darvel, when for one no one can deny that the standard of the juniors is on the decline, we should be trying to promote the game and welcome the likes of Mick and and his team to try and generate more interest in the game,

  33. Yous refused to play? Why did yous not book the jewel the day the original game was called off cos that was free that day? Danderhall offered to get changed outside , declined. Danderhall offered to play the game at danderhall , declined. Yous never had a team that day, we know it you know it and the association know it. Why should danderhall roll over and play the game at castle view when There was no certificate presented to show the asbestos was fixed ? Danderhall as a club stood together and fought back, and have been punished . Leafa as an association r a total embarrassment .

  36. Sorry but injuries aren't the reason for us fighting to stay bloody 2nd, it's a pathetically weak and spineless team, a board who seem to be immune to any substantial criticism and a manager who has made some strange decisions and some bonkers comments. We've scored 69 goals this season so only Rangers and Celtic have scored more. Are we really saying we haven't gone up 'cause we missed Vaughan? You shouldn't need to score 3 goals a game and 80 goals a season to win a league. Arbroath have proven that! We haven't really had a injury issue in central midfield or defence. Yes the occasional game where someone had missed out by every team in the county has to deal with that. It's a complete deflection from the mistakes that have been made. We've lost 8 games this season half of which have been from losing positions. 3 have been by one goal when we were still drawing and had a chance. To blame injuries for losing matches like Saturday and Brechin away is ridiculous. I'm all for giving managers a chance but McGlynn has some awful decisions none more so than giving Flannigan a new deal after calling him one of the best wingers he's worked him. Flannigan epitomises exactly why we are where we are. A moaning prima donna who throws his toys out the pram whenever he loses the ball. McGlynn brought in Crane and look what's happened to him compared to what Goodwin did up him. McGlynn talks about us sorely missing Benedictus but we lost 6 of our 8 defeats with him in defence with Davidson. There's nothing I'd love more than for us to go up and McGlynn to be the man to do it but I feel some fans are looking at him with blue tinted specs on. The board and owner as well are getting away with murder. Their decisions have led us to talking about going to part time to survive. Just read that sentence back. Of course if it's that or no Rovers I'll choose part time every second of every day but the decisions that have led to this potential point in our history should not be brushed away. We have a board with zero commercial sense who have taken us to our lowest point in over a decade. Does anyone honestly trust that board to be the ones to take the club forward?

  38. Saw a thread on Twitter where the post asked about the worst players to have played for us since 2004. Some of the names have me in tears. One boy, in one post, said Robbie Thomson, Chris Duggan, Ross Matthews and Liam Buchanan! Maybe he just started going this season... Other notable outrageous mentions include Nathan Flanagan and Stephen Simmons. Folk have short memories. None of those players would even make the top (bottom?) is 100 of shite in the last 15 years.

  40. I'm one of those that switched off on the Hastie thing a while back - when the speculation stopped being about if he'd sign for us and moved on simply to where he was going, that was it for me - fucks stopped being given. The fee we will get for him is important though as the money coming from home grown players has handily stepped into the breach left by the lack of an obvious sellable asset from our senior players - there is no Kipre or Moult hanging about.. Also, great to see the word "ennui" used by @thisGRAEME - outstanding work although I feel strangely down about the fact I didn't use it first...
