What's the most "Tin Pot" thing you've seen in the SPFL

Is this the same Celtic who - just over a year ago - confirmed in their official twitter feed tha they were stepping away from the phrase "old firm" then about a week later, working in tandem with Rangers, copyrighted the phrase?

Their fans really are taken for mugs.

We 'stepped away' from the phrase around 13 years ago, the tweet you're referring to was a riddy right enough, but we've never officially announced 'we're no using that term anymore'.

In terms of the trademark, i think it's as much to stop other folk making money from it than anything else. Of course when it comes to this type of stuff, both clubs really do play to the gallery quite a bit and certain types of fans will soak it up.

Does this one entity have two teams in our league?  One must be designated the B team and chucked out

Rangers fans wouldn't mind being called the B Specials team I suppose.

The phrase "Old Firm" is thought to date from 1904 when Celtic were all of 16 years old. So we just have to wait until 2028 to call Celtic and The Rangers "The Old Firm"

You’ll noticed it’s not being advertised as OF in Australia, but a homecoming for big Ange

Still nonsense we are playing this game mind you

Funny as f**k if he has a nightmare in the next 6 months and gets the bullet before the big homecoming.

Also, I kind of get Celtic going to Australia since Ange is from there, but to bring Rangers with you is a pure riddy. Just further evidence that, despite what the fans might say and think, both halves of the Old Firm are very much different cheeks of the same arse, especially at board level.

They can travel to the other side of the world, start a new, better life for them and their children. But they'll still be the same on the inside. They'll always have the chip on their shoulder and the delusion of superiority. Leopards, spots etc.

Could go the other way mind you.  He could have a blinder and get snapped off a bigger club in the English Championship.   That would be a riddy.

Not just the inside. They are a business partnership selling sectarianism and hatred to the sub-Jeremy Kyle knuckle draggers that lap it all up. It's too profitable for them to change it.

I'm surprised they haven't gone to Australia before given the large weegie and general Scots population there. The English clubs have been selling themselves worldwide for a while now so it's about time these magnificent ambassadors for Scotland and Scottish football satisfied their global fan base and grew their brand on the world stage.
